Sleepy time short fic
Katherine sighed, and pulled Shelby closer unaware of the girls red face
All Katherine was aware of was how warm and bright Shelby was. Not to bright but just enough to be a good nightlight of sorts
She never really liked the dark. There was so many thing sthat could be hiding in it! And well, she was only human....
It was good, that not only was Shelby bright hut also warm, seeing as Katherine always had trouble sleeping and Shelby being here in her arms. Just the right size for her to hold and spoon was the best
She was like a little glowstick. Her glowstick.
And with that thought Katherine drifted off to sleep, Shelby still in her arms pressed against her looking out the window
Shekbt needed to leave, she knew that. Sure she could survive the night with her stored up sun, but she needed to be outside as soon as possible to refill that bar......She didn't want to leave tho.
Katherine was behind her holding them close, her nose was pressed into the crook of shelbys neck and she'd pressed a kiss to the sunshine hybrids shoulder before falling asleep fully. and it just felt SAFE, she didn't want one leave much less move
Well, a few minutes turned into an hour, an hour turned into 2 and soon Shelby felt exhausted and let her eyes drop close

Shelby woke up slowly, not feeling any sickness like she usually did when her bar had run low. And she paused to wonder why
Then Katherine groaned behind her And shifted to be covered her eyes- oh, right, Katherine had a star window. A GIANT star window, a window that Shelby was sleeping in front of
She never thought about windows, she'd always assumed the wouldn't work- but they did!
Katherine woke up to a chuckling, slightly tearful, Shelby and was confused immediately
But she pulled Shelby to press against her front again, they'd move in the night, and nuzzled into the sunshine girls neck in a form of comfort
Shekbys response was to turn around and cuddle into Katherine with light chuckles, and intertwine their legs together
That was the best morning either had since...well ever
