long time no see

...

so funny story.

it's been two years LOL

hello again, if anyone is even reading this anymore. a lot has happened since I last updated, so I'd like to give a little rundown.

about this book...I genuinely don't know where it is going to go from here. I stopped mainly because I started having cracks in my mental health and gained significant writer's block (even though I STILL have certain aspects of the book planned out in my head). Then my senior year of high school started, and with college preparations and auditions, school work, and my ever so fluctuating mental health, I never got around to updating again.

Now, after completing my first year of college (I know, I started writing the Lost Potter Series exactly 7 years ago—I was 11, and now I'm 18), I don't know if it would be juvenile for me to continue writing or not. Being 18, a sophomore in college, and writing self-insert Harry Potter fanfiction is not necessarily something I parade around...however.

who cares what people think?

I love this story. I love these characters. I love Harry Potter, the world of Harry Potter, and the fact that I literally got to just let my creative juices flow whenever I wanted. This book saved me when I was 14-15. There were times when I'd be suffering from major depressive episodes that I lowkey refused to get help for—and my first thought whenever the "bad thoughts" would come would be "But Draco and Maya haven't gotten to the Yule ball yet." It sounds so dumb, but this story gave me the motivation to just get to the next day—which was so small, but monumental in the grand scheme of things. It gave me an outlet I never realized I needed until now. The fact that it did so well gave me so much pride, and still does. It gave me so much joy. Genuine joy.

Now, two years later, I finally feel like I'm in a good place. Like, actually. I love myself; who I've become, and who I want to be. I think I'm pretty, I'm comfortable in my skin and my skin color, and finally, I feel as if I have a purpose, and have always had a purpose.

I feel like there are so many things I could say, but they'd literally just be rambling messes of growth and healing and blah blah blah...which is important, but boring. SO, let's get into the fun...

Future updates: may or may not be coming soon. NO PROMISES, but I've gotten a sudden urge to keep updating and editing this book along with TLP...so we shall see ;)
