Chapter 2
After putting the rest of my stuff in the car I saw my friends waiting to say goodbye, “Hey guys, what you are doing here?” I asked both shocked and sad.
“Hey Beth, we didn’t want you to leave without saying a proper goodbye.” Jake said with a slight tear in his eye but he quickly wiped it away before anyone else could see.
“I’m going to miss you two much” I replied. Cath had tears streaming down her face at this point making me cry then Jake not long after. We shared a few hugs before I had to leave. “I have to go guys, I love you both and I’m going to miss you” I said trying my best to stay strong.
“We love you and we are going to miss you too boo” Cath said trying not to sound too sad. “Oh and Jake, take care of Cath don’t let anyone hurt her!” I quickly said before getting into the car with mum. “I wouldn’t dream of it, I promise I will take care of her” he replied hugging her from behind.
“Bye I love you both!” I quickly shouted “we love you too” they both shouted back at the same time. As they said those last words a small yet noticeable tear went down my face, I wiped it away hoping that mum didn’t see it but she did, she grabbed my hand and held it tightly before driving off to the airport.
I was silent the whole car ride to the airport, as we boarded the plane I looked back knowing that I wouldn’t be back for a while. The plane ride was pretty boring there wasn’t much to do on the plane but sleep. After the plane ride was finally over I grabbed mums hand and held it mostly because I was nervous about being in a new place I didn’t know. We got our bags and what we needed knowing that the rest of our stuff will be arriving at our new house later. “How are you feeling bub?” My mum sweetly asked me.
“I’m alright I guess.” I replied without looking at her, she just simply sighed and kept walking knowing I didn’t want to talk.
After the long taxi ride we finally arrived at our new place. If I say so myself I was quite impressed with how great it looked. “Wow” I said turning to my mother who has the same reaction as me.
“I know it’s beautiful isn’t it?” she replied, I just nodded smiling. Maybe this place isn’t going to be as bad as I thought it would be.
