So, for the date, Liv came up with the idea at the Guided Harry Potter Tour. She knew Spencer was a huge fan, and she had always wanted to go herself. Remembering that time they both geeked at the crystal store in Las Vegas because it reminded them of Ollivanders. Liv woke up early, eager to get started. She dressed in a Harry Potter Hufflepuff t-shirt and leggings, her robe, and her Hogwarts hat. She wanted to go all out for this surprise.
At 6 a.m. UK time, Liv FaceTimed Spencer. Answering on the first ring, he had a big smile on his face. "Good morning, beautiful," he said, "Umm, did I miss the memo? I feel severely underdressed."
Unable to contain her excitement, "Don't worry, I got you something as well. Go check your mail really quick."
Spencer makes a quick trip downstairs, checks the mail to see a package for him. Quickly, he makes his way back up to his room. "Okay, I got it. Opening it now." Liv had got him a Gryffindor t-shirt, his own robe, and hat. His eyes shining with joy, "I'm starting to sense a theme here, what are we doing today?"
Liv explained how they were going on a guided tour of the Harry Potter locations in London. She had booked a private tour guide who would take them around the city, showing them the places where the movies were filmed.
His eyes widened with amazement. "That's amazing, Liv! I can't believe you went through all this trouble for me."
"Don't mention it," Liv said, "I did this for us. I promised you that I would always make time for us." Staring into his eyes, she was a little overcome with emotion and longing. "Alright, go ahead and change into your outfit and then get comfortable. The tour will take about 2.5 hours. I'll grab a cab, and then we can head out. You can fill me in on how your week went during the drive."
Changing into his Harry Potter fit, he had to laugh at how ridiculous he looked. "You know Liv, I would never do this with anyone else."
She winks at him, "It's because I'm special, remember." Throwing his words back at him.
Spencer looks at her earnestly, "You are my everything, Liv."
Eyes glistening a little bit, Liv responds, "You're my everything too, Spencer."
Making it to the start of the tour at King's Cross Station, where the Hogwarts Express departs from Platform 9 3/4. Liv showed Spencer the spot where they filmed the iconic scene, and she takes him along as they pretended to run through the wall together.
Next, they went to Leadenhall Market, which was used as Diagon Alley in the movies. Liv pointed out the stores where Harry bought his wand and where he first met Hagrid.
Spencer was amazed. "It's like I'm really there. This is really dope, babe."
Liv smiled, feeling proud of herself. "I'm glad you like it. Wait until you see what's next."
The guide took them to the Millennium Bridge, which was destroyed in the sixth Harry Potter movie. Liv stood there on the bridge, holding the camera up, making sure Spencer didn't miss anything. As the tour went on, Liv noticed Spencer becoming more relaxed and engaged. He was asking questions and making comments. She watched him with a sense of contentment.
As they continued their tour, the guide led them to the iconic platform entrance of the Ministry of Magic, located in a quiet corner of London. Liv and Spencer marveled at the architectural details and tried to imagine the magical world hidden behind the ordinary facade. Liv captured a screenshot of Spencer, staring in awe with the entrance in the background, capturing the excitement and wonder on his face.
The next stop on their magical adventure was the breathtaking courtyard of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The guide pointed out the specific filming locations within the courtyard, sharing fascinating trivia about the movies. Their guide then led them to the Great Hall, a place that held countless memories for fans of the Harry Potter series. As she stepped inside, Liv and Spencer were greeted by the grandeur of the hall. The guide recounted behind-the-scenes stories and shared interesting facts about the movie production. They both absorbed every detail, feeling like little kids again.
As the tour came to an end, Liv couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Seeing the joy on Spencer's face and witnessing his genuine appreciation made all her efforts worthwhile. She hopped into a cab, overjoyed with that unique and special experience. Liv leaned against the window, staring into bright eyes with a smile that hadn't left his face.
"So, I take it you enjoyed it? I know it may have seemed corny at times..." Liv asked, breaking the silence.
Spencer let out a chuckle, interrupting her. "Liv stop. Listen to me baby, this was absolutely the best date I've ever been on. The fact that you went through all this to set this up for us is so special to me. I loved every single part of this experience. It honestly, only made me want to be there with you even more. So thank you for this, corny moments and all, this was perfect."
Liv smiled, "I'm glad to hear that, Spencer. You mean the world to me, and I'll always try to find ways to make our moments special."
They continue to talk about their favorite parts and laugh at some of the things they saw on the tour. As she arrived back at her host home, she checked the time, and realized how late it must be for him.
"I'm going to let you get some rest, babe. But I'll talk to you later tonight. I love you, Spencer. Sweet dreams.
Spencer's eyes were filled with so much gratitude. "Thank you again, Liv, for this incredible date. You truly went above and beyond to make it special for us. I love you too." Hanging up, he changes back into his other clothes and lays back in bed. He thinks about how truly grateful he is to be given a second chance, to be able to continue writing their story.
When Liv got back to her room, closed the door behind her, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond they shared. She sat at her desk, scrolling through the photos she had taken, reliving each memory. The smiles, the laughter, and the sheer joy on Spencer's face filled her heart with warmth. Their love was an adventure, filled with surprises, laughter, and moments like these—moments that reminded them of the magic they had found in each other.
So what you guys think? Was this a cute callback? We gotta make FaceTime work in our favor, no matter how corny. They would only be this way for each other. Let me know what you think in the comments. Until next time. What do you wanna see next? Maybe Spencer's idea for a long distance date? What does that look like to you guys?
