Chapter 3

Riley POV

I was alone in my room reading a book, suddenly Enid enters the room and comes towards me.

-"Riley.

"What do you want, Enid? I look up at her.

"I want you to accompany me to the harvest festival tonight.

"For what reason?"

"Because I don't want to be alone and I want to spend time with you so we can get to know each other.

"You can always dream.

"Come on, please."

"No, Enid, I'm not even going anyway.

"Ms. Weems said it was mandatory.

"I'll find a way not to go

Enid approached me

"Please, Riley, I'll do whatever you want afterwards.

"You swear it."

"I promise you.

I sighed

"Okay, I'll take it."

"Yeah, thank you, Riley!" she cried, hopping

"Damn it, stop yelling at Enid.

She came out happy as a 5-year-old, when she left I smiled a little, I don't know why but when I'm next to her I feel good.

Enid POV

I was at the harvest festival with Riley and Wednesday. Wednesday has a getaway plan, she's going to be with Normi who apparently is the sheriff's son.

-Are you sure you can trust this Normi? I say to Wednesday

-I trust my resourcefulness. Wednesday replies.

-Good luck and have a good trip. I tried to hug him, "still not tactile, right.

I took Riley's arm and walked off with her, and surprisingly she didn't say a word when I grabbed her. We walked along until I saw a stand with a giant koala cuddly toy as a prize, which I absolutely wanted in my collection. I pulled Riley by the arm to take her to the stand.

-Riley, you can help me win this comforter. I point to the koala bear.

- "Why don't you do it yourself?

-Because I suck at this kind of game.

She sighs.

-Don't worry, it's on me.

-No, that's okay. She hands the showman a $5 bill.

Riley picked up the plastic gun and started shooting, bursting all the balloons in less than 20 seconds. The carny looks at her shocked, but not because she popped all the balloons, but because she popped them all very quickly.

-Wow, you're really good. He complimented

-Shut up and give me the giant fucking koala. She replies coldly

- "Riley you don't have to be rude...I'm really sorry for his behavior.

Riley POV

Enid looks for another stand that might interest her, we've already done several winning several prizes most of them for Enid we walk around chatting until we come across the Ferris wheel.

-Shit. I say because I have no desire to ride this attraction.

- "Riley, I want to do this." she says, pointing at the Ferris wheel and giving me puppy-dog eyes.
