26.The Storm: YN's Cross-examination

10 days later - Trial day 7: YN to the stand.

After Mr. Baker was arrested for contempt of court, the Lee's fired him and hired a different attorney. They knew that if he had stayed on as their attorney, they would lose. Little did they know that they were going to lose no matter who their lawyer was. YN had thoroughly planned everything out with Yoongi and the guys, as well as several members of Serpent X.

YN knew that the best and most believable lies had a little bit of truth in them. And a really good lie along with evidence to back it up is the icing on the cake. After what YN and Yoongi went through with Ricky, neither of them wanted to ever experience anything like that again. Can you blame them? You can't, they're protecting their family by any means necessary. YN promised Yoongi, her children, and herself; that she would do anything to protect her family from any foreseen harm. And that she would never let another psycho stalker take anything she loved away from her again. Which leads to YN's inevitable cross-examination.

Once everyone was seated, the jury walked in and headed to their designated seats. After a few minutes, everyone is settled in and waiting for the Lee's new lawyer to call YN to the stand. YN is soon called up to the witness stand to be cross-examined. She raises her right hand and swears to tell the truth. Then she walks to the witness stand and takes a seat. YN walked so gracefully, it was the first time anyone besides YN and Yoongi's family/friends had seen her walk without any assistance(which I the author can now do, I'm so proud of myself) from anyone or anything. When YN was settled into the chair in the witness box, Lee's lawyer approaches the stand and begins his questioning.

"Mrs. Min, your husband said in this very courtroom that Miss Lee was in a mental health facility in South Korea. Is that the truth? And if it's true, where is it?", Mr.  Fisher asks.

"Yes she's in a mental health facility, but unfortunately legally I can't say where it is other than in South Korea. I would like to be able to tell the Lee's what her whereabouts are, but I can't.", YN answered in a very calm tone.

"Who told you that? Your lawyer? Mrs. Min, you're a parent. You can sympathize with the Lee's can't you?", he questioned.

"Of course, I sympathize with them. I'm a mother and I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through. But that doesn't change what the South Korean police told me to do. Unfortunately, it's out of my hands.", YN says.

"Why are the police involved?", he asks in a confused tone.

"I don't feel comfortable answering that.", she answered and YN looked uncomfortable and uneasy.
