You look down at the envelope sent to you that the messenger just handed to you.

He had rushed into the room while you and your family were starting dinner and you were quite surprised.

You look up at your family who is looking at you, waiting for you to say something. You haven't even opened the envelope yet and they already see that its shocking. Your eyes are wide open the second you read the address.

Your sister is practically buzzing in her seat, waiting for your answer.

'Well?! Who's it from!'

You blink and rub your eyes before looking back at the address. You didn't get it wrong.

'Its...from the castle of Lucien.'

Their eyes widen in shock as well.

'Are you gonna open it?'

You look at your brother and slowly nod before opening it.

The reason for the shock is because of how mysterious Lucien has been for years. The kingdom of Lucien had closed itself off from travelers and their news stayed their news for so long. The last news anyone ever got was the reason for them becoming the mystery they are now. The king and queen died.

No one from the other kingdoms were trusted anymore and pushed out. They still traded and took part in wars that invlolved them, but no one from other kingdoms were aloud in or out. They were already mysterious with how they didn't ever tell how many children they have or what gender any of them are if more then one. Even if it's only one, that one is still almost unheard of except as the heir to the throne.

You quickly read through the letter and gasp before handing it to your mother.

You still don't know the heirs gender, but you guess their attracted to female bodies because you've apparently been invited to their coronation to see them and perhaps catch their eye. Though, they'd have to catch your eye as well. You are hoping that everybody still knows of your standards.

Many years back while you were eleven, your sister nine, and your brother seven, your sister asked if it was alright to feel like a girl when you're a boy. Your parents instantly made it clear that they support people with strange genders like no gender or opposite gender and different standards like woman who like woman, men who like men, multiple people in one relationship, and etc. Nobody tried anything due to the respect your parents have, and many actually started down the path of trying to understand it. You and your sister were excited to find that your parents support that kind of stuff and even started to get others to understand it.

You had figured out that your sister, brother at the time, liked to wear dresses and ribbons before then and you were excited that she could be herself. A few months later though, you realized you might be similar in being different compared to the majority. You found that you are attracted to woman, and a few years later realized that you are neither a girl nor a boy.

You being attracted to woman instead of men and also having no gender quickly spread out across the kingdoms, and you can only hope that Lucien received that news as well.

Your parents read it together and gasp once finished. They look at you with slightly worried faces.

'Are...you going to go there?'

They stare at you nervously and you think about it.

'Hm...actually I think I will. I'd like to at least take a look at their mysterious heir and see if it was worth the trip.'

They sigh with worry and their nervous looks increase in amount of anxiety.

'Ma, Dad, I'll be fine. You react like this every time I leave the kingdom.'

'We know, we know, but we don't know when it's gonna be the time you actually leave and don't come back here with it being your home.

You nod.

'I understand, I'm scared too.'

You get up and hug them before turning to the messenger.

'You may be excused.'

He bows.

'Thank you princess- I mean ma'am- I mean-!'

You giggle and pat his shoulder.

'It's fine, go already.'

He nervously nods before running off and you turn back to the table.

'Let's eat together before we can't for a long time if this is it.'
