A multitude of things have happened since then. The return of the Box Club, the whole entire universe nearly being doomed, and most importantly.. Ø's comeback and final death. Also throughout that time, they were brought closer together, yet also torn more apart.

"Goodbye Terrance."

"It's not what you think it is!"

...

It felt... oddly eerie in the graveyard. Although Three usually enjoyed being in the area, it had been feeling uncomfy ever since the god box incident. He was just always restless in there now, trying to get objectives done as quickly as possible. It wasn't really a place he could relax within anymore at the moment. Another thing was that he would constantly have panic attacks over the smallest things he sees in the landscape.

Yeah... maybe Three did need to take a breather. As much as he doesn't enjoy being at the castle, the roof was always one of his favorite spots. It gave him.. peace. He decided to go there to rest for the night. After all, it would have been him alone with his thoughts.

However, an old friend was also heading towards the roof during that time. The blocky figure had come out to the spot in order to refresh their brain, and to relax. Throughout that whole event, they had gotten extremely tired and damaged, mentally and physically. One's been getting more and more on their mind, mainly about Zero. They were in a huge dilemma about how to feel regarding what happened to him.

They also felt conflicted with how Four and Three used the anti-meme energy. At least they were able to refrain from it near the end, but it ended up permanently damaging their bodies. Four seemed okay for the most part after all of that, but Three's been.. very different since then. Seemed like it was the perfect time to talk to him about that since he was here now.

One: "Hey, what are you doing here?" No response. They decided to repeat their question. "Is there any reason you're up here right now? You don't have to answer..."

Three muttered: "Just... needed to relax." He trembled from the cold breeze.

One: "..Me too..." He walked up next to the guardian.

Three sat down, holding his knees close to himself. "It's quiet up here..." He never really liked it before.

One: "Is there.. like a specific reason?"

Three: "..Haha- N-Nope. It's okayyy. After all.. who would want to see such a baby-" He halted himself from continuing what he was saying. He then went back to staring off into the distance, acting like nothing had happened.

One's concern grew more with that half statement. "Such a what? Three?!"

Three grumbled: "Such... I shouldn't even be here."

One: "Listen... you don't have to tell me what's bothering you.."

Three: "I'm not supposed to be- Why did I even think of using such power?! You were right, I just- can't be trusted-"

One cut him off: "I didn't say that.." He went silent again. "I'm just worried about you right now.." They moved closer to him. Three kept up his disdain for him being around, avoiding his gaze. "Just let me stay here by your side... That would be enough." They place their hand on his shoulder.

-

Three: "...If I didn't use that anti-meme energy, he would still be alive."

One jumped from his sudden comment. "What?!"

Three: "You know- Me and Four used the energy- fucked up ourselves and the plan- ended up with Terrance sacrificing himself- which is so awesome..."

One: "Terren- That ugandan knuckles meme?!"

Three teared up: "Yeah.. stupid to be upset over a MEME! Stupid that I even pulled that off... Why do I have to always let it all get the best of me??" He glared at the roof ground intensely. "Dumbass sensitive little-"

One: "Woah woah!- You're not an idiot at all!! You're-"

Three: "WILL YOU STOP IT?!"

One backed up quickly: "...Sorry for doing that-"

Three: "It's fine.. it's-" More tears streamed down his face. "I just... miss him.... of course it's just so- .." He buried his face into his arms.

One moved back towards him. "Hey.. it's okay to feel this way..." They placed their hand back on his shoulder. "It also wasn't your fault he gave up his life for you..." Little sobs and hiccups could be heard from Three as they were comforting him. They were a bit shaky though. What he was saying... scarily parallels with some of their current thoughts. Was it really fine for him too? It's been a long while since they actually had interacted with the true Zero.. Zero. Zero. Box Club Leader. Spudnick. They just... won't stop ringing in their ears. Their breath got more rapid the more they thought about them.

In the midst of the panic, One completely forgot they were with Three, who calmed down a bit. He had taken notice of him stressing out. "Are you okay though?..."

One snapped back to the present. "Oh, sorry... I was.. t-thinking about something.." They were stammering a bit.

Three: "What about exactly?.."

One: "..An old.. friend of mine....." He eyed them, trying to figure out who they were talking about exactly. "You know... that other- the-" They tried to word it out without explicitly saying the name of the individual. "....you.. didn't you see.. that guy- and-"

Three lifted his head up, realizing who it was. "...Y-Yeah.. Didn't you guys meet via- what again exactly?"

One: "Heh... we met accidentally through usb transportation. He and his.. friend.. were trying to figure out more about the great beyond, but then they ended up at our place by accident."

Three: "Oh.."

One sat down. "Me and him would often meet up and count the stars at night.. It was our favorite thing to do together. We even pointed out some constellations! Like the big dipper and-" They cut themself off. "...Wait sorry- I didn't really-"

Three: "Don't apologize... continue on.. if you want to."

One looked at Three, and then faced towards the dark blue sky. "Something funny is that he would often sing with Spudnick when he visited, and it never really went well. Either one of their voices cracked up, or they forgot a line in a song."

Three chuckled: "Sounds like he wasn't the best at it."

One: "Yeah..." They took their hat off their head. "Y'know it's funny..." They started to tear up, holding the hat close to themself. "Right now, I would give anything just to hear them singing...." Not too long after, they realized they were getting really emotional, so they started to wipe their eyes. "I just- need a moment."

Three's eyes were locked on the little cube dude. He was lost in thought.. all about where both of them were now.. and where they started. They had a troubled past, and they rose up from that. That doesn't change the effect it has on them now though... Not to mention, they're both up here in the first place due to a massive loss they both experienced recently. Good things taken away.. for the universe's sake. Good things really do cost a fortune, huh? They can really understand that now.

One: "..It's whatever- I won't be feeling like this anytime soon..." They fell into silence again. They didn't want to keep being annoying. After all, it was their weakness that made them lose the people he loved. They gotta move on... They gotta.... Out of nowhere, Three's arms wrapped around the guardian. He wasn't even irritated about it, or doing it out of pity. It was.. genuine care and worry coming from the dude. Tears filled up their eyes again as they held onto his arm.

It was very cathartic for them to let it all out. Maybe.. this was what they needed. Bottling it up and repressing it aren't the best solutions, but they seemed far more easier. They just... held each other for a long while, feeling the cold breeze pass by them. Forgiveness, can you imagine?
