Chapter 5

Hayes' Pov:

Text to Maisie-
Can't wait to see you in a few hours ;) Text me when you get here

Did I just send that? Is this happening? Does she even still have my number? My thoughts were interrupted by Nash.

"Hey the Espinosa's will be her in 2 hours. Why don't you go take a shower? Gotta impress your girlyfriend" he said while wiggling his eyebrows.

"Oh shut up. And she's not my girlfriend...yet" I mumble under
my breath.

"What did you say?"

"Well I'll be heading in the shower now" I say grabbing my towel.

"Whatever dude" Nash laughs as he walks out of my room.

*20 minutes later *

I just sit there on my bed. Staring at
my closet. In my towel. Trying to decide what to wear. I wanna look good, but not like I'm going on a date or something.

I decided on a pair of black skinny jeans, a plain white tee with the
United XXVI symbol in the corner, and black vans. For my hair, I spiked it and put a little bit of hairspray in it.

I was about to head downstairs until I got a text from Maisie.

Maisie- Well you don't have to wait much longer, because I'm just now heading into your neighborhood right now ;)

Maisie's Pov:
Holy hot tamale I'm almost there. I'm going to see Hayes in less than a minute. Do I give him a hug? Don't touch him at all? Give him a handshake? No, too formal.

I started getting nervous. Why was I getting nervous? I've known Hayes my whole life, why would I feel like this? Come on Maisie, knock some sense into you. Its just Hayes.

As I was starting to feel better, it all went away when my dad said "Okay guys, we're here!"

I almost sharted my pants.
