THE VISITS AT the river became rare. y/n had to focus in her studies a lot more in her free time since her bullies practically made it almost impossible to somehow learn at school. She didn't have time to go to the river anymore which Ran totally understood.

But that didn't meant they weren't able to see each other. Ran would often stop by at her place now and help her learn.

And even though drugs killed Rans last braincells he would often ask her questions about the subject she was learning helping her to memorise things.

For y/n Ran was great company,helping her relax when her brain was almost burning from learning so much,making her laugh at needed times and sometimes him just being quiet when she needed it to be.

Y/n her bell ring and she ran from the Kitchen to the door.

"Ran!" y/n squeaked out giving him a big hug.

"Hey precious" Ran said hugging her back by her waist. As soon as they parted he also greeted y/n Parents "Good evening mr. and mrs. y/n."

Her parents greeted him back with a smile.

Y/n's parents weren't really impressed by Ran maybe the two of them didn't but they noticed that every time this man would leave their house it would always smell like weed or cigarettes in
y/n's room. They also hated that he would come to their place at late hours.

They hated the fact that Ran was in y/n's life but they couldn't do anything,y/n was so much happier every since he entered her life. She would always smile when she talks to her parents about him,when he visits them.

Y/n has been a happier person ever since he became part of her life. And her Parents would've killed, tortured,robbed whatever to see her smile again and if it would only take one person to see her smile again they would accept it even though they thought they were a bad influence on their daughter.

Y/n and Ran walked upstairs and closed the door.

"I'm so glad you stopped by I really needed you right now." The 18 year old female groaned out walking back to her desk. "what's up?"

"I have my first exam next week I'm so incredibly scared."

"Yeah that probably sucks but you have to become successful for the both of us,I need your future money for more drugs." y/n laughed at his response.

"Yeah no I'm definitely not giving you money for you to kill yourself more."

"Ah damn. But anyways I brought you some snacks for the concentration." Y/n smile grew.

"you're the best Ran."

An hour has already passed no one said much in that hour Y/n was learning like crazy and Ran was just laying on her bed scanning her room as if he hasn't done it a thousand times already.

He started to rumble in his bag for a blunt and a lighter when he realised he forgot his lighter at home.

"Do you have a lighter around here?"

"Yeah in somewhere over there." She pointed at the direction where it should be.

After he found the lighter the 20 year old male sat on her window steel.

On the other side of the room was y/n totally going insane because of the exam next week,she was incredibly scared of failing she felt like she would get an panic attack soon.

So she asked one of the dumbest questions "Hey Ran can I take a hit of that blunt?"

This caught the blonde-black haired male off guard "Sorry?"

"I'm asking you if I could take a hit." now fully turning to him.

He felt angry,his hand rolled into a fist as he clenches his jaw. He let his blunt fall out of the window and angrily walked up to her.

This man was seeing red,he should've left right after y/n let this sentence out of her mouth but no,he put both of his hands on each side of the chair the h/c haired female was sitting on and glared into her terrified eyes. She has never seen him this mad.

"Haven't I told you enough about my addiction?
Haven't I told you enough about how much drugs can destroy you physically and mentally? Haven't you learnt nothing about my past? Have you even every listened to what I've said?" Y/n looked away but he forcefully grabbed her chin to make her look at him again.

"Y/n I told you and will tell you once again to never ask me this question again." His tone got softer "I will never let you smoke a blunt nor will I give you a single hit because that's where it all starts. Just because you're a little scared about your exam you shouldn't ask such nonsense."

"Look at me and tell me if you want to become like me."

she shook her head out of terror "so don't you ever ask me such a dumb question again."

He let go of her chin grabbed his bags and left,slamming the door shut.

For Y/n everything happened to fast she couldn't think straight but something,the way he treated her,touched her it set of a trigger inside of her, she was so scared,scared of him,Ran.

The way he looked at her,how mad he looked how he touched her,it was cold. So damn cold. It's as if all the warmness disappeared with just this one sentence.

She did understand that what she said wasn't quite alright but she was overwhelmed and wasn't thinking straight that but it doesn't excuse his reaction in any ways.

She tried to go back to her studies but she was too overwhelmed,nothing was going inside of her heart right now.

She was glad they exchanged number last week so the female immediately grabbed her phone and tried to call Ran but he didn't pick up. Of course he wouldn't so she just left him a message.

She sighed out when she saw that he has left her on read. She really messed up. The h/c haired girl cuddled up in her blanket right next to her bed hoping he would answer soon.

But he didn't he has just arrived at his apartment when she saw the message on his phone he was still raging,he couldn't understand how she could say such dumb things and sure he was aware that he overreacted but his aggression got the better of him.

He wasn't going to reply to this he needed a pause of all of this he needed a little a bit of space.

Just for now.
