Marinette's Trial

POV Adrien:

Today is Marinette's trial. I already gave Marinette yesterday morning to put her in jail for Chloe's murder.

I had a shower and I changed, I put on my suit and went to my office at home

I got all the papers I need, and all the proves against Marinette and then I drive to the court

I found there all Marinette's friends, Alya was a crying mess and Nino was trying to calm her. she walked toward me, in front of her friends hitting my chest and crying

Alya: y-you promised me to prove s-she is innocent n-not accusing her

Adrien: I'm sorry Alya, I can't defend someone who really killed someone, or I won't be better than my parent's killer

Alya: s-she is my b-best friend

Adrien: your best friend has killed someone Alya, I can't do just like nothing happened

Nino: this will cost you your first lost case Adrien

Adrien: I know, but I can't let a killer out of jail. I really regret accepting this case and tomorrow ill be in all the channels on TV as a first failed case

Kagami: we don't get everything from life blondie

Nathaniel: let's get in guys

We all get in and I had my seat. Marinette come later in her orange suit, her eyes are red and puffy from crying. I feel bad to see her like that after all what we shared. All what I want to do is to hug her and kiss her pink lips

Judge: silence. Today we are going to talk about the case 2135, murder of Chloe bourgeois. Mr. Agreste asked for this trial one day before the end of the 15 days that he asked for since the begin. We are today in the 14 days.

Adrien: yes, you honor, I have no need to add another day because .... Because Marinette is guilty for murder

I heard gasps filling the room, and when I lift my head to look at Marinette, I found her tears rolling down her beautiful face and this broke me

Judge: you are her lawyer and you should defend your client and not accuse her Mr. Agreste

Adrien: I know, but when I defend a killer, I won't be better than the killer himself and then all my career and hard work will be useless

Judge: I understand and you are right Mr. Agreste, I hope that all the lawyers learn from you. but you know that this would be your first failed case in all your career

Adrien: if this failure will put the real killer behind the cells, then I'm fine with that, everything has an end

Judge: that's true, so we are listening to you Mr. Agreste

Adrien: first of all, I accepted Marinette's case because of the fingerprints. Only hers were in the room, and no one else, not even Chloe, and that's what I thought that Marinette won't do that, and the killer cleared all the fingerprints but it was a lie, it's obvious that Marinette did it

Judge: this stays a possibility and not a prove

Adrien: Marinette pushed Chloe from the balcony and we didn't find her phone at all even if her sister Zoe confirmed that Chloe had her phone five minutes before her death, but when I went back two days ago to Chloe's room, I found her phone in the balcony of the room below it. That phone contains a number unknown and when I asked Marinette, she said she don't know

Judge: what was that phone call?

Adrien: this phone call happened 50 seconds before Chloe's death and Chloe answered to this call for sure and they were talking just five seconds before Chloe's fall from the balcony. Marinette faked her being drunk and called Chloe with another number just to get her out to the balcony and push her and then she hides the phone

Judge: we can't consider this as a prove Mr. Agreste. we need evidence 

Adrien: yes, we can, here a file proving that we found Marinette's fingerprints on Chloe's phone, as Zoe approved that no one touch her phone at all. But ... but not only that. I found this in the room under Chloe's room, and Marinette approved that it's her bracelet, here

I got the bracelet in the plastic bag with a report that it contains that the fingerprints on this bracelet belong to Mari but when I checked the cameras of both floors, I didn't find Marinette in that room at all

Judge: yes, exactly, this proves everything. so, Mr. Agreste, this phone is to prove that miss Dupain Cheng is guilty

Adrien: absolutely and I have located where is it, I mean i located the phone that Marinette Dupain Cheng used to call Chloe. if you don't mind your honor, I will bring it tomorrow to you because I have some papers to valid for today.

Judge: sure Mr. Agreste, no problem at all. Do you have any additional things to say?

Adrien: nothing else your honor.

Judge: I understand, then we are keeping miss Dupain Cheng.

Adrien: thank you

Judge: after all those proves, ill need the phone that you will bring tomorrow to close totally this case Mr. Agreste

Adrien: I'll bring it tomorrow at 11am

Judge: we found miss Marinette Dupain Cheng guilty, you are hereby sentenced to life in jail. court is adjourned

This case is over. When two policemen were going to get Marinette out, my heart broke when she was looking at me and crying. Alya was a crying mess and Nino was calming her. I run toward Marinette, while everyone was looking at us and I cupped her cheeks and pressed a kiss on her lips

Marinette: I'm innocent, I swear Adrien I'm i-innocent

Adrien: I'm sorry Mari, all the evidences are against you. good bye

It hurt me to see Marinette leaving, that girl I really love so much. when I left the court, I found a lot of journalists asking me about this case

Journalist1: Mr. Agreste, this is the first case you lose

Journalist2: what do you feel that you lost this time Mr. Agreste?

Journalist3: why have you accepted this case from the beginning Mr. Agreste?

Adrien: everyone makes mistakes, and I made one when I accepted this case. Now excuse me, I want to go home

I went to my car and left as soon as possible because I hated to stay with journalists. My phone ring, as it was Fei

Adrien: hi Fei, so where?

Fei: I tracked the phone, now we wait.

Adrien: I'm sure it will be at night

I hung up and drive away to Fei who was waiting for me at my mansion. We waited till the night come as we were following the signal then Fei gave me a paper with an address

I got it and I left walking as the place isn't really far of my house. it was a little garden in a huge park, but thankfully some lamps were lighting that place and as I expected, I found what I need

Adrien: not smart to come yourself and get the phone my dear .....
