Fraying Bonds

General POV

Louis had been very bored the following day, there was nothing to do in quarantine. He decided to go watch some TV to check on any updates on the epidemic.

"And we have made the decision of putting quarantine off for a while, as things seems to be dialing down a little. Everyone needs to careful for any symptoms of the disease and stay away from people who may have been infected. Take note this is only temporary to see how things go from here."

Louis's eyes widened in shock, they were allowed to go out again? No.. This has to be a dream...

"Mom!" Louis called out. "Yes honey?" he heard from the laundry room. "The news said we are allowed to go out again!" Louis yelled excitedly.

He waited 5 seconds before his mom finally replied. "Oh really? That's good honey, if you're going out somewhere be careful!".

"Okay mom, love you" Louis called to her as he soon got ready and headed out the door. He quickly ran to Clem's house already seeing a few people making their way outside.

"Clem look what I drew!" AJ showed Clem another piece of artwork he drew. "Wow kiddo, I love it" Clem replied, she was sitting on the sofa bored out of her mind, she had nothing to do, but all she could think about was the boy with dreads.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on her door, she was confused as the news told everyone to quarantine, so who could it be? "Coming" Clem said as she went up to the door to check through the peephole.

She saw the familiar dread head freckled face she had been thinking about all day, she grinned as she quickly unlocked the door to let him in.

"Hey Louis, I thought we were supposed to be quarantined?" Clem asked as she looked behind me to see people walking on the pathways and cars passing by.

"Well we were, but then the news told us they are lifting off the quarantine for a while but just temporary to see how things will go from there." Louis replied.

Clem let him inside as Carley came from upstairs, her face was in shock. "Oh! Louis, what are you doing here? Aren't we supposed to be quarantined?" Carley asked in confusion.

"Hi Ms. Everett, recently on the news they just announced to us that they have lifted the quarantine for a bit, only temporarily though just to see how things will go from there" Louis explained to her.

Carley nodded as she smiled at the two. "Well, you two have fun!" she said as she went to the backyard.

Louis and Clem looked at each other and smiled.

The group had just heard about the news and everyone in the group chat was taking about their plans together.

Violet: "Anyone wanna hangout at the mall?"

Brody: "Yeah!"

Minnie: "Sure 😉"

Aasim: "What's that wink for?"

Minnie: "Oh sorry, auto correct put it on"

Mitch: "Auto correct my ass"

Ruby: "Stop, let's discuss about going to the mall"

Aasim: "Should we go today?"

Marlon: "When else? Monday?"

Everyone was excited for their plans as now they could finally enjoy going outside, even if the quarantine had only lasted 2 days.

Gabe: "Can me and my sister come?"
