Miner Log 12:
2 days ago,me and my colleagues we're mining in this relatively new mine Apex found compared to the others codenamed "Eclipse". From what i heard, it was found about 5 months ago and contains this....."ore" that one can describe as extraterrestial. This "ore" or "Gallanite" as they call it, is dangerous and should be handled with caution. These are everything the company ever told us anyways,Its not like low level miners like me is allowed to know more about this ore. But......2 days ago, and incident happened that made me feel like theres more to this new ore than meets the eye.
On that day, i overheard the supervisor talking to one of the company's manager. Something about some scientists coming to get some gallanite samples. When the scientists arrived, some of my collegues were instructed to go and be temporary bodyguards for the scientist and rest of the miners including me went back to our usual work . Out of nowhere, we heard a loud scream coming from where the scientist went to. We rushed down to the scene and found out one of the scientist, who was working despite being pregnant fell ito a hole in the ground filled with gallanite. We did everything in our power to get her out. It took almost an hour to get to her but by the time we reached her, she was already dead. Her corpse was covered with crystalized gallanite and her eyes were fully orange. No one knows what to do, How would the supervisor do once he found out? What would the higher ups in Apex do to us once they find out? Everyone was thinking about what to do next......when the supervisor showed up.
The supervisor examines the corpse, sighs and says: "Any hope of bringing her back to life is gone, now the baby in her stomach is the first priority." He then added: " call in some Apex Medical personnel,they can handle the situation here." 30 minutes later,the personnel arrived. "We'll take it from here." stated the men and off the went to handle the body and the baby." As they we're leaving the mine with the body and the baby, a dozen thoughts came into my head, one of them being what they will do to the baby? Its not like a baby would be used for anything the company does right-
Just as i was sinking into my thoughts, the supervisor tapped me on the shoulder and instructed me to get back to work. The supervisor walked back into the mine,which i followed.
Two days has passed and as of now theres not really any updates about that baby. I sure do hope its fine....
I'm ending my log here for now,i'll update the log once i've got new information about the baby.
