As Rajkuvar Bai exited Moti Bai came in and helping her mistress to get ready for her sleep started complaining in low voice
"what the hell does she think of herself ? I know that she is princess of Ajmer but does that mean that she misbehaves like this ...... What does she think of herself ... What does she think that you can't show her .... Her real place.... God knows what came into Bhai's head that he married this witch ?"

"Shh .... Moti stop what are saying " Yuvragni stopped her.

"What stop .... Why are you stopping me ? Can't you see how is she behaving with you ? How is she talking to you ? What is she doing ? Can't you see and understand? How can you tolerate that ? And tell me one thing three days ago when she said that words to you why didn't you say anything to her ? Today also she came in the room without prior intimation and on top of that directly came and sat besides you, is this a way a royal behaves ? What does she think are you an ordinary woman ? Nodding her head to instructions of her friend Yuvragni closed her eyes and tried sleeping. Moti covered her with blankets and made her way to her quaters.

Rajkuvar Bai kept tossing in her bed sleep was no where near her eyes so she decided to take a walk in the gardens behind her room.

"What a sence I am seeing today, seems like clouds are hiding the moon" hearing a sly voice, she turned to look at the owner of voice, and found a well built tall man with womanly features.

"Did you say anything?" She inquired.

"Forgive this mere creature if I have said anything wrong your highness I just said that trouble does not look good on the face of the new bride ..... It should glow like full moon " answered the person in lady like voice.

"Who are you?" Asked Rajkuvar Bai.

" Iss nachiz ko Sharim kehte hai " he replied bowing low.
(This lowly creature is called Sharim)

"Sharim sounds interesting.... what's does it mean?" Questioned Rajkuvar Bai Ji.
" It means Intelligent Begum Sahiba" answered Sharim.
"Intelligent?" Rajkuvar Bai Ji repeats in mocking tone.

"They have given me this name because I have news of each and every corner of Shahi Mahal" Sharim continued."I am very useful at times, a little reward and every news would come to your room"

"Hmmm and what are you doing here at this time?" Inquired Rajkuvar Bai.

"Nothing, just came to check if our new Yuvragni needs something .... I can help you out in whatever manner you want " he continued.

"Help me out .... But you are special aid of Patrani Ji right .... so why help me ?" Asked Rajkuvar Bai Ji.

"Yes indeed I am" Sharim answered with a sense of proud feeling of his position, before he could say anything further Rajkuvar Bai Ji commented

"I have heard many things about you"

"Wallah wallah" Sharim said touching both his ears with his two left hand fingers, and continues "Allah only knows if they have made me famous or infamous."

"I have heard that your loyalty, changes with the changing hands how should I believe you?" Rajkuvar Bai Ji commented again.

"Don't believe me, you are still new here, be sure to remember me when right time comes.... I should take your leave now ... Goodnight " greeting her and  Sharim went away.

Rajkuvar Bai Ji thinking something went back to her bed for a good night sleep.

An attendee announced arrival of Yuvraj Veer into chambers of Maharani Mahanandini Bai Ji, who was strolling along her room with a mix emotions of anger, anxiety building up with her, the moment Yuvraj Veer came near her she placed a tight slap on cross his face.

A shiver ran down his spine as soon as his mother's hand had touched his face, tears collected in his eyes, but he kept his eyes and head low in front of his mother he dared not to look into her eyes.

"How could you? How could you do this ? You promised me.... you promised me you will always take care of my daughter in law.... you'll never bring a third person in between you both in your life.... then why ?" Maharani Mahanandini Bai Ji questions him in anger while her voice went more towards crying than anger in the end.

"You were my pride my honour I always dreamt of you to be an idol person an idol husband..... not like your father ...... Answer me .... answer me at least something.... why are you quite.... are you to betraying Arunika Bai Ji?" She asked again clutching both his arms when she didn't receive a response from Yuvraj Veer.

Yuvraj Veer gulped a tight lump formed in his throat and Collecting both her hands in his hand he answered in slow yet firm voice

"I have not betrayed Ruh ..... and I will never in wildest of my dreams...... yes I have brought a third person in our life..... but it was necessary..... necessary for our kingdom...... please keep trust in your son as you kept till now .... I am not doing anything for my own pleasure..... please try and understand is all I can say to you right now..... please..... please forgive me for what ever I have done ..... please"

"Who am I to forgive you? Ask apologies from the person to whom you have hurt the most ...... do you even know what was her condition for the last one year..... how has she managed to cope without you and the palace politics..... just imagine the life of a girl who came in as a slave in the kingdom, who was married to the crown prince that too in a very close ceremony and her husband left her on the same day of her wedding without even spending a night with her, to go on a war, not for weeks or months but a whole year ..... and when he returns he comes with a co wife ...... how she must have faced people and their rubbish talks .... how she must have felt welcoming a co wife of her husband...... just imagine all these things " she sighed seating on a nearby sofa.

"I know.... I know.... and I will talk to her soon...." he replied kneeling down on floor besides her and taking her hand in his, wiping her tears he continued after a pause
"Please forgive and trust me I will never do anything that is unfair to Ruh or anyone else...... please stop crying..... you know that I can't see tears in your eyes.... please"

"Go .... have some rest " she said signalling him to leave.
