Y/n has been dying in anticipation for the past few days, as she had foolishly promised Saki that she would join the cooking club. No matter how much she told Saki to forget the promise she'd always hear the same words on repeat, "A promise is a promise, Y/n!" Saki smiled smugly, with a proud glint in her eyes as she stares back into the eyes of desperation itself. Y/n was no doubt dreading the day, why did she always open her big mouth? Her mouth most of the time got her into unnecessary trouble and of course she'd have to eventually face the consequences.

If her father had been a sane and reasonable person, instead of a raging maniac, he might have seen fit to allow her to stay at home today. However, no, there was nothing but malice in his eyes. It seemed as if his throat had dried the moment Y/n walked up to him. Y/n silently wished his throat would make suffocate him to fill the loud silence after her proposition of staying home left her mouth. The thought of allowing her to stay even a second more in the house than she should no doubt must of made a few grey hairs sprout out of his head and increase his chance of balding by a significant figure. He didn't even meet her gaze, trying to ignore the child he helped bring into this world in the first place, "Setsu, you won't even know I'm here.

I already know you hate even looking at but that won't be a problem -I'll be in my room then go to school tomorrow." Y/n explains as if she's talking to a stupid single-minded toddler, making sure to emphasize words like, 'room' to get the message across. Yes, she did call her 'dad' by his name and that's the only mutual thing they can agree on, by staying on a first name basis unless your goal is to annoy the other.

Y/n's father's eyes left the newspaper reluctantly, he obviously was staring at her, in a dumbfounded manor as if he didn't hear a word she said. Then, his reaction to her appearance was nothing short of appalling. He wrinkled his nose and seemingly threw up a bit in his mouth when he saw her, as if seeing her was the most revolting thing in existence. She knew, the thought of him ever allowing her to stay home, even for just one day would give him the tremors and a heart attack in one deadly combo. (She silently hoped that would happen.) Y/n also knew that he was ticking off the days on his calendar to reach the day she'd turn 18 so he could legally kick her out.

This isn't an understatement, he never celebrates her birthdays yet the one day on his calendar that he's actually circled is the birthday she turns 18. She's sure you can guess as to why. She looked into his father's eyes and she could read that expression from a mile away says, 'the thought of keeping you home is be sickening to me.'

He doesn't even let her stay off school, even when she is ill so the likely hood of this playing out in her favour has the same chances of her miraculously transform into Musume, which is zero.

He insisted that she leave the house without any hesitation, and for the first time, provided her with money to pay for a bus ticket, much to her chagrin. Y/N's anger towards her father had been simmering for years, but today it had reached a boiling point. She suppressed the urge to hurl the money in his face and shove it down his throat. In the end, she chose to simply ignore him and dashed out the door. Who in their right mind would waste their money by throwing it at him? Y/n sneered and the disdain Y/n harbored towards her father was palpable. Her resentment towards him finally coming to a head, she pulled the keys out of her pocket and dragged it along the side of his car -leaving a nice surprise for him. Crack. She cracked his windshield, it looked like a spiderweb and she couldn't care less.

Hopefully, he would believe Musume keyed his car again since she has before because she didn't want to be seen in some out of date car on her way to school. Y/n arrives to the bus stop handing the bus driver the appropriate amount of money and leaves some for her to spend on something stupid. She seats herself towards the front of the bus to ensure she can get off before the wave of people try forcing themselves of the bus all at once. She mindlessly scrolls through her phone, feeling zero regrets for what she did to her father's car and instead a proud smirk is engraved into her face. That smirk drops instantly when she looks down the hallway of the bus to see a chestnut coloured brunette.
