Jasmine:

Today's our first day living in Berlin. As a family, we visited last year and our father became entirely sure that he wanted to live here. He came back a few months ago to sort out some things, and now we're here.

I have a younger brother, who's 12 years old, and as I'm the oldest, he gets to choose the room he wants and I get second choice. Well last choice. I'm ok with that though. After all, we're lucky to even have our own rooms, so I'm glad I can let him choose first.

My little brother's called Tommy. Ever since turning 12, he's started to dislike his name because it sounds "childish" but honestly I think it suits him.

Tomorrow's our first day at our new school and to be honest, although I miss England already. I never had many friends there and am ready to make some here. I decided as I'm joining a new school, I'll be a new me. Not a fully different person obviously because that would be difficult, but I'm going to be more outgoing and have fun. Also tomorrow is my first day of year 10, so there will probably be a few more new people joining our year.

Tommy chose the bigger room, obviously, as any little brother would, so I get the smaller one. I'm sort of happy with that though because I don't have that much stuff to put in my room anyway. It would just seem like i had an empty room.

From England, I didn't bring much stuff out of my old room, firstly because me and Tommy had still been sharing rooms, so most of it was his anyway. And secondly because most of it was old and unneeded. I did bring all my posters. I have two One Direction posters and one Heartstopper poster, which will be cool to put up on my wall. And then I brought all my past diaries and notebooks - I like keeping them as memories. I also have three trophies I've won in the past from track which I'll put on my shelf.

Anyway, now it's 10 pm so I've got to eat, sleep and shower, prepared for tomorrow.
