Nikita stumbled over to Arlo, throwing himself in for a hug.
"I can't thank you enough!" Nikita mumbled to him while tears rolled down his face.
"Of course, it's no problem." He mumbled back. The cave started rumbling again.
"Guys! We should get out of here now!" Spirit sputtered out eagerly. They ran over to the river pond.
"You guys ready?!" Arlo yelled while they ran; jumping off the ledge into the water. They all landed in the water creating a huge splash. Arlo was trying to swim up but was struggling getting pulled by the strong current with Anna holding tightly to his back.Nikita quickly swam under Arlo and pushed him up to gasp for air. Arlo made it up and the same with Nikita.
"Hurry, let's get out of here!" Nikita stuttered desperately. They all were flowing through the underground river. While they were going through the current started to get stronger and the tunnel became more and more rockier and narrower. Everyone was trying to stay steady while the current was waving them back and forth against the rocks.
"Jeez, I don't know how much more of this any of us can take. When is this gonna end?" Arlo wondered.Right as he thought, he saw the light change. He tried to slightly squint his eyes open to look and saw a light up ahead. Within seconds they got shot from the side of a cliff out of a waterfall. They landed in a large pond that slowly floated to a river. They swam up to the edge of the pond, all catching their breath. Arlo dragged himself onto the dirt, plumped himself down taking a deep breath. He then opened his eyes seeing four little pink paws in front of him with jewelry on. "Huh?" Arlo questioned while he looked up. He looked up to see an odd-looking old lady and another one who looked the same beside her. They were light pink with a bandana around their neck and a small pointy tip witch hat.
They were also fairly short and had stubby legs with two sets of eyes.
"Who the heck are you guys?" Anna questioned them. Anna looked down at Arlo and it looked like he was looking at them with familiarity. The two ladies didn't answer Anna's question and just ignored her. "Arlo, do you know them?" Anna whispered in his ear wondering.
"No, but they seem very familiar, like, I've seen them before". He whispered back.
"We've been waiting for you Arlo." One of the ladies spoke softly.
"We've been expecting all of you." The other one added.
"Wh- who are you two?" Arlo questioned.
"You wouldn't remember us bu-."
"Shh!" One lady whipped her tail up, covering the other's mouth, cutting her off. "Sorry about that.." The one apologized. "My sister just doesn't know when to keep quiet.." she said irritatingly."These two are odd.." Spirit mumbled"
"*sigh* anyways! I'm Aspen and this is my younger sister Sunny. We can't tell you much." Aspen looked up with her eyes looking at a faraway tree. "At least not here..."
