It was a normal day at Hakuho High School, with L/N Y/N sitting at her desk as usual, with her head lying on it as she attempted to take her usual "half-nap", as she called it.

To her, it was when she wasn't unconscious enough to be classed as "asleep", but not fully awake.  L/N Y/N really enjoyed her sleep, though she couldn't seem to get enough of it. With the workload a prestigious private school like Hakuho would provide, as well as managing a successful gaming channel online, she had practically always kept herself busy.

As well as that, she hadn't come from the same wealthy background as the rest of her classmates, which made her a bit of an outcast.

This was something she had in common with another figure in the school: Nagi Seishiro.

Nagi's only motivation for attending such a school was the fact that it would lead him to a job in a good company with a high pay, and with such he could retire from his job quickly and live in peace without the hassle of anything.

Y/N lifted her head slightly as she heard the footsteps of someone walking into the classroom.

It was Mikage Reo, the heir to Mikage Cooperations, as everybody knew.

"Morning L/N-san!" he greeted, in his usual cheery voice. L/N would have been confused by the personal greeting if it weren't for the fact she was the only other person in the room at that point.

She'd set her alarm an hour earlier than usual by accident only noticed after she got ready for school. She had decided it would be too much of a hassle to change back and preferred just getting to school early and taking a nap or something instead to pass the time.

Y/N probably should've at least nodded in acknowledgement to Reo or something, but just looked at him blankly and went back to her "half-nap" instead, to which Reo sweatdropped.

'Should I get her a coffee or something?' he asked himself. Reo couldn't help but be interested in the girl since their encounter a week ago, but from the way Y/N was acting, it was as if she didn't remember at all.

A week before, L/N was on "Cake Friday" duty. It was a custom for someone in their class to bring in cake and sweets which they could eat during their morning math class, and that day it was Y/N's turn.

It was pointed out to her by a classmate she may need to buy more cakes and sweets eaten in class than usual, much to her dismay. This was because, at first, people were too shy to take and eat anything but it was now a month into the school year and that shyness had quickly faded away. Luckily for her, her pockets didn't ache as much as they normally would have considering her Youtube channel's recent video had blown up quite a bit in the last month.

Y/N noticed there were a lot more people interested in sports games than she thought, which started her weekly sports-themed game stream.

Anyhow, with the number of things she had to bring into class that Friday, she decided to bring them in early to avoid any crowds in the hallways. There were two people in her class already when she got to school, and one of the girls offered help.
