The door slowly creaked open. A boy, looking like he was around his early teenage years, stood in the doorway. He stared at her. She stared back. They both screamed.
'Was? Wer bist du?' he asked, his voice full of apprehension, confusion, and fear.
'Guten abend. Ich bin... Emilia. Und dir?' she asked, her eyes shining. It was him! Germany!
'Ich bin Deutschland,' he said. He calmed down a little and came near her bed.
'Come, sit. I'm sorry I scared you,'
'It's no problem!' he exclaimed, happy to have found a new friend. He was lonely here, especially as his father was busy half the time.
'You said you were... Emilia?' he questioned, politely setting his thin frame down on the end of the bed.
'Yes, I am.' She looked a little bit sad for a second. That wasn't her name.
'Why are you here? I mean, shouldn't you be somewhere else?'
'Well... Soviet let me have some free time, but he didn't say where I could and couldn't go,'
'Really?' she looked at him with one eyebrow raised and a knowing look crept on her face that made him splutter with wholehearted laughter.
'Okay, okay! Fine, he said I wasn't allowed here, but I still came.'
'Was? Silly boy! What if he finds you down here? I'm quite worried, you know. He sounds tough!'
'Well, be thankful for him, because he was the one that carried you here!'
She stopped. Wow, she thought. How kind! I weigh a lot. 'Well, when he comes, I'll say "Danke schön, Herr Soviet! By the way, I weigh 2 times the national weight for my age!"' Germany was splitting his sides with laughter.
'R-really? Are you joking?' he asked, inbetween his laughs.
'No,' she replied. 'Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. But I do weigh a little over the national average, perhaps not 2 times over,' she elaborated.
'Ah, I see. You don't look it! My father's always telling me to eat because I'm too thin,' he mentioned.
'Oh, Germany! You're full of surprises!'
'Well, I guess I'll see you around, Emilia. Soviet might be wondering where I am.' He then mimed Soviet shouting at him.
'Yes,' she agreed, 'Soviet is coming for you, shouting, "Deutschland! What did I say to you? How dare you enter that room!" and he'll bonk you on the head with his hammer, silly!' she giggled.
'Your accent is amazing! All right, then. Auf Wiedersehen, Emi.'
'Auf Wiedersehen, Deutschand.'
YESSSS ANOTHER ONE! I posted this one a little late because I wanted to see whether or not people would read it. Sorry for the wait!
