"And then there's Poppy! She's really amazing too!" his eyes lighted up as he explained each of the other characters, seemingly lost in another world. "She loves to bake, but is also very pessimistic, always expecting the worst outcome" I laugh softly "How does that work out for her?" he laughs with me, before answering "Well, usually the others have to help her, but she loves to decorate!"
I can feel him smiling and looking at me, even though my eyes were on the road. "Is that so? She sounds nice too! In fact, all your friends sound lovely!" He starts to bounce a little bit in his seat, his smile widening even more somehow "Mhm! They are all amazing neighbors!" as we roll up to the parking lot of my house, he looks at the house seemingly in fascination. "Oooh! So this is your house!" he smiles, looking at my house, as well as the other houses around my neighborhood.
"I still can't get over how... gray the real world is..." I laugh a small bit, before parking and getting out of the car. Once again looking around to make sure nobody saw me, I gently picked up Wally out of the passenger seat and take him inside, as well as my bag and the other thing I grabbed from earlier. I looked into the sky while walking in the door, noticing how late it's gotten. "It's getting late, we should probably head to bed, I have a guest room you can sleep in for now" I shut the door behind us, and set down Wally before putting down my bag and hanging up my coat "Do... you even sleep?" he laughs softly, watching my every move with extreme attention. "Yep! That I can do!"
after putting my coat away, I start to head to the guest room, hearing Wally's footsteps close behind me as I open the door to the room. "It's kinda a mess, but it's better than an attic!" He nods, looking around the light blue room, slightly bit nervous as he stays close to me, seemingly afraid that I'll leave him. Mumbling softly so that only I could hear him, "You're not gonna lock me in here... right?" Sighing gently, I pat his head, and give him a reassuring smile "I promise, I'll even leave the door open if you want." He eagerly nods, staying close to me, but not laying a hand on me. "Yes, that would be nice..."
"Alright then, I'm gonna get some shut-eye, if you need anything, you can get me up, got it?" He nods again, shaking a slight bit as he leaves my side, and gently gets comfortable in the guest bed. I smile, and walk over to him, helping him get tucked in "Goodnight Wally, sweet dreams" I smile, and stay close to him as he falls asleep. Waiting until I think he's fully asleep to leave the room, leaving the door to the room open per request.
I walk over to my room, with the item I brought along in my hand I gently set it down on my desk. it was my grandmother's old necklace, it had pearls, with a big stone in the middle, possibly a labradorite stone in the shape of a cross. I thought it was beautiful, so I decided to take it along with me as well as... well, the obvious. I smile as I set it down, putting on some pajamas and getting comfortable in bed, before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
At 3:18 in the morning, I woke up to a thud coming from the kitchen. Seemingly forgetting the dream I was having moments before, and what it could've meant. Grumbling a little, I get myself out of bed and go to the guest room, the door wide open as I left it before, but the bed is empty. I told him to come get me if he needed anything, what is he doing? I rub my eyes tiredly, and walk towards the kitchen, hearing something, or someone, rummaging through the cabinets. Tiredly mumbling incoherent words to myself, I look in the kitchen to see Wally going through the cabinets, however, something is different about him.
He has small pitch-black horns as well as what seemed to be a demon tail that was currently acting as a third arm, moving things out of the way. He was slightly taller in height, but only by a couple inches. Not seeming to have realized I was there, he looked to be searching for something, moving cups and dishes out of the way gently, but frantically.
"Wally, it's 3 in the morning, what are you doing?" He squeaks out a small bit, the cup that was in the grasp of his trail falling out of it, as he flails his arms trying to catch it. After catching the cup, he gently sets it down, the horns and tail seemingly disappearing from sight as he looks slightly scared, but also a slight bit flustered. "I-I'm sorry! I was looking for a snack! I didn't mean to wake you!" he started to spew out apology after apology, as I just simply leaned against the wall. "I know you said to wake you but you looked so peaceful and I didn't want to-"
"Knew it." his eyes widened a slight bit at my remark, looking slightly confused, but still very scared and concerned "...what?" I chuckle tiredly, walking up to him and grabbing the cup he had almost shattered, putting it away where it belonged "You're a demon or some kind of entity, aren't you?" his scared expression seemingly grew, as he was shaking a lot. "I-I..." stuttering his words slightly, he simply nodded. "Please don't hurt me..."
I was way too tired for this right now... How the hell was I supposed to deal with this?
