Sighing, I walk over to the fridge, looking through what I had for something that would work as a small midnight snack. "W-What are you doing?" he looked on nervously from the top of the counter, shaking slightly as I rummaged through the fridge. "You said you wanted a snack right?" a confused look spreads on his face, nodding slightly as he watches my every move. "Well then, I'm getting you a snack. I may not have any apples, but I have the stuff to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich" I had a vivid memory that his favorite food on the show was apples, even though he never actually ate them. he simply nodded, he was clearly scared out of his mind right now, but yet confused about why I was so... understanding.

As I put together a sandwich for him and myself, there were a few minutes of silence between us before I sighed. "So, you wanna explain what the literal hell is going on? Or should I just guess?" His eye goes wide, fidgeting with his hands as he looked to his side, carefully studying me as I put the sandwich together. "I..." he looked like he was on the brink of breaking down, but he tried to keep his composure the best he could. like he was scared of scaring me away. "What do you want to know?"

Was he really open to answering anything? I didn't want to overwhelm him even more, or possibly cause him to break down, but what question could I ask that didn't? I take a deep breath, trying to think of a question before one comes to mind. "What's your favorite color?" he looks up at me with one eye, seemingly caught off guard by the weird question. "P-Pardon?" I smile softly, handing him the finished sandwich, repeating myself to him. "What's your favorite color? Is it dark blue? you seem to like wearing a lot of it."

It takes him a second to process the question, but after a bit he replies. "...red..." he's still shaking a small bit, but he seems to have calmed down a small bit. "I like... red." I smile softly, taking a bite out of my sandwich. "Like the color of a red delicious? That makes sense!" I chuckle lightly, trying to calm him down slightly, noticing how he's not eating the sandwich, but just looking at it. "Your turn!" I lean against the counter he's sitting on. he looks up from his sandwich, "Huh?"

"What's something you wanna know about me?" I smile softly, letting him know that he's gonna be okay. "Do you have any questions for me?" he looks back down at his sandwich seemingly thinking to himself "Do you... have a favorite animal?" he tries to give an attempt at a warm smile, trying to calm himself a little. "Oh! Hmmm..." You take another bite of your sandwich, smiling as you try to think of an answer "Well, there are a lot of animals I like, but I really like (Favorite animal)!" I smile softly, looking at him stare down at his sandwich. "Alright, my turn!" he takes a deep breath, preparing for what my next question could be. This time, I was going to get a tiny bit more personal "How do you eat? You're an entity in the body of a puppet, so do you eat like a human? or..."

"I eat with my eyes..." Slightly taken aback by the weird answer, a small laugh comes out of me "I'm not gonna lie, that sounds really gross Wally" He chuckles at my reply "S-So is the way that normal humans eat! Besides, it's not as gross as you think. Here, let me show you." He looks back at his sandwich, and I watch as his eye fully opens, and his pupil dilates. a small bite is taken out of the sandwich, and then another bite, and another. He hums softly, his pupil dilating even more, before returning back to normal. "It's been a while since I've had food, ha ha!" I look on in awe, smiling softly. "Woah! That's awesome!"

He laughs softly, almost sounding like he doesn't know how to laugh. Finishing the sandwich in a matter of seconds by just staring at it. "It would've been easier if I had my other eye still... it still tastes delicious though!" he smiles warmly, happy to have food for the first time in years. "Alright! My turn!" he seems to have calmed down, enjoying our game of questions. "Hm, Alright! What's your next question?"

"Hmmm... why aren't you afraid of me?" he laughs again, that same weird but charming laugh. "I know things have changed in the past 50 years, but I don't think it's changed to the point where people are no longer scared of demons" I take another bite of my own sandwich, almost finishing it now. "Well, other than that weird feeling I was talking about earlier, the one that makes me feel like I need to protect you, I... don't know." I laugh softly "I mean, I watch a lot of true crime and paranormal investigations, so maybe it's that?" he nods, seemingly understanding what I'm saying. I sigh and stand back up, Wally looking at me as if to inspect my every move.

"Come on, you had your snack, let's get you to bed" Gently jumping off the counter, he pouts in a playful manner, sad that our questions game is over, and that he has to go back to being alone in the guest room. He gently tugs at my pj top "One last question for both of us?" I smile at him, sighing gently before taking his hand in mine and leading him back "Alright, but then we gotta sleep, I have work in the morning" he nods, his eye sparkling a little bit as he follows behind me "Okay! You go first!" he seems to be really liking this, maybe its because he's learning more about me? I gently walk him into the door of the guest room, smiling as we both sit on the edge of the bed

"Hmmm... what should my last question be?" I playfully hold a hand up to my chin, thinking about what my last question would be before it hit me. "Can you show me your horns and tail?" his eye widens a little bit, a small blush of embarrassment on his face as he laughs nervously. "Ha ha... s-sure!" he seems a little nervous, but after taking a deep breath, he reveals his pitch-black demon horns and tail again. Flustered, he smiles and looks at me once more, his tail swaying a small bit. "I can put them away if it scares you-"

"Can I touch your horns?!" my eyes sparkle softly as I ask what comes to mind, his slight blush growing a small bit as he once again. "Aha... you said only one more question..." he laughs nervously." Yeah, but, I've never seen a demon before!" he then looks away, thinking about the question a little bit. It takes him a minute, but he then nods. "I-I guess you can..." he smiles, seemingly trusting me enough to not hurt him. I nod gently, and reach up, gently feeling his horns, they were curved inwards, and then outwards, and were black as ink. He flinched slightly at the touch like it was brand new for him, his tail was slightly wagging, but he seemed slightly uncomfortable like he wasn't sure what to make of this new feeling.

After a few minutes, he grabs my wrist and pulls it away "Alright, that's enough..." his voice seeming a little more serious, before gently letting go of my wrist, slightly feeling bad for raising his voice even the slightest bit. "Can... I ask my question now?" I nod, smiling as I look at him, waiting for his question. "Can... you stay here? I'll sleep on the floor if I have to! Just please, don't leave me alone again..."

my eyes widen a little, before sighing, laughing a small bit. "Oh Wally, you could've just asked earlier!" he nods, looking away slightly flustered before I start to get comfortable in the bed, I was too tired to say no at this point. "Come here." Blushing a little bit in embarrassment, he gently crawls over and lays beside me, not touching me still, as if he's afraid he'll break me. "Thank you..."

"No problem, goodnight Wally."

"Goodnight Y/N..."
