Dinner Date

It was a typical working day for Karan and Tejasswi, the only thing different was the fact they weren't shooting near each other this week.

They may not get to spend the entire day together even when their sets are nearby, but just being within a 5-minute radius of each other was more than enough.

Teju was sitting in her vanity van after eating lunch with Karan on FaceTime. They were so grateful that lunchtime aligned with each other; it's always about the little things to them, so this made their day.

Karan had been called back to shoot, but Teju still had a few minutes left, so she decided to watch YouTube.

She smiled widely when the first video that popped up was Karan's.

"Awwwie meri Sunny is looking soo cute!" She said while admiring Karan's picture on the thumbnail.

She quickly clicked on the video and started watching. She admired him the whole time, and the way he passionately talked about his work made her feel so proud.

Right when the video ended, she was called for her shot. Teju ended up wrapping up earlier than expected, and she was incredibly happy about that.

At first, she thought about going to visit Karan on his set, but then decided she wanted to give him a different surprise.

In the interview she had watched earlier, he had said that he hadn't had Chole Bhature in a while, so she decided to make them for dinner.

On the way home she stopped by the grocery store and got all the necessary ingredients.

After a few hours, Teju is done making the dough for the bhature. He arrives just as she puts the lid on the chole.

From where she stands, she can hear the front door click open, then him slipping off his shoes to neatly place them on the shoe rack.

Karan is confused as he walks into the house. He smells something cooking, but Manoj (his cook) wasn't supposed to be there today, also his mom was in the States, and his Laddoo was busy shooting.

"Hello?" Karan calls out in confusion.

Teju smiles when she hears his voice. "Heyyy," she sings back, "I'm in the kitchen."

"Mera Laddo!" He sprints toward the kitchen while yelling with enthusiasm.  

"Laddooo?! What are you doing? When did you come home?" He bombards her with questions while running.

Teju turns her back towards the stove and faces in his direction.

"Sunny! Breathe baby! My shoot ended early, and I decided to surprise you with dinner!" She exclaims in excitement, "Guess what I made!"

Karan stands in front of her and smiles, "Awwwie mera Laddoo! You didn't have to make anything, baby..."

"Duggguu! Guess!" Teju screeches at him while pouting.

He squeezes her cheeks and giggles, "Umm... Chole?"

"Chole Bhature!" she says with a huge smile on her face. "Technically, I still have to fry the Bhature, but you know what I mean."

Karan looks at her in shock. "I've been craving them for so long, how did you know?"

Teju wraps her arms around his neck and whispers, "I'm your wife, Sunny; I know everything."

He blushes and pulls her close by wrapping his arms around her waist, "My wife..." 

Teju also blushes and nods her head in response.
