QUIET SNIFFLES filled the room. bella walked toward the bedroom, alarmed as to why their girlfriend was crying.
bella knocked on the door frame lightly. "jos? are you okay?" they asked softly.
josie sniffled, turning away from the small window. "yeah, i'm okay poop."
"are you sure?" bella asked with a sympathetic chuckle. "you're not having second thoughts, are you?"
"no, no." josie assured bella, sitting next to them on the bed. "just feeling emotional about leaving tomorrow." she explained. bella nodded and rubbed josie's back lightly.
"i can't believe i'm leaving this place." josie said, looking around. "i've had a lot of great memories here."
bella smiled down at josie.
"and already so many of them include you." josie said, looking up at bella.
"and just think of the great memories that will be made at our new place." bella said. josie smiled, thinking about how much life she had to live with bella.
"also, there's no way you won't be in new york all the time." bella said. "your family and friends are here."
josie nodded. "i know. but you aren't, so it's time for a new adventure."
