Chapter 13

 

Alex's Pov

I ran inside the company as fast as I could. My office is on the highest floor so I had to take my elevator. The stupid thing is going too slow.

When it finally came to a stop, the door opened and I was already in my office.

I saw a bunch of people there, all around my granddaughter. Doctors, guards and assistants.

And my granddaughter was crying uncontrollably and shaking.

She didn't seem to have any critical injuries. Only her head has a bandaid on it.

When I find out who did this I am going to end them.

The people in the room were trying to make Sammy drink some water but she was pulling away from them. She looks so scared.

When they saw me enter the room they all froze in place.

"Everybody out. Now!" I said, and with that everyone went their ways but also I finally caught the attention of my little baby.

She came running to me and I pulled her into a hug. Still shaking and crying.

My heart can not stand this.

"What happened baby? Are you ok?" I asked her softly and she took a deep breath, trying to calm down.

"I-I am fine but... I am scared grandma." She said and hugged me tighter. 

" Don't be. I am here now and I will find who did this and I am going to end them. You will be fine. "

" I know who did this! " She said not looking at me.

" Who was it baby? " I asked even though I was stunned. Who would want to hurt her?

" It was my Dad!"

WHAT?

Her dad? How?

"He is in jail princess! Are you sure?" I asked her as we sat on the couch.

She was a bit calmer now

"I-I had the feeling that someone was following me for the last couple of days. I knew it was him so I came here today to ask for help. I was looking for Jordan but she wasn't here. I didn't want to come to you yet because I wasn't sure and I didn't want to cause any panic, especially to my moms. So I -ghm, I hacked Jordan's computer and looked into the prison files. It said that he was still in jail so I left. Right around the corner he attacked me and he told me some things." She said looking everywhere but me.

She should have come to me.

" What did he say princess?"

" He said he should have killed my mama when she had the chance and that he will be coming back for more. " She is visibly very scared of the situation.

" Don't worry baby, I will take care of everything. But I will have to call your parents! " I said and she nodded her head yes.

Lia's Pov

"What happened?" I asked panicked as I got in my mom's office.

I looked around and found my daughter sleeping on the couch and my mom talking to a very upset looking Helena.

They looked at me but they didn't say anything.

"Baby what happened? Please tell me. Is Sammy ok?" I asked walking towards them.

"Sammy is fine princess she is strong. Just like her mother." Mom said kissing my forehead.

"That doesn't answer what happened!" I said visibly upset.

"George!" Helena told me full of anger.

She is not angry with me . At least I hope so!

I am not angry. I am really worried though.

"George is in prison." I said trying to be calm.

"Apparently he is out on good behavior!" Helena said annoyed.

"What? No this cannot be happening." I said and took out my phone and dialed  a number.

"Agent Morris!" She answered the phone.

"How is he out?" I asked her.

"Lia! I was going to call you. It just happened..."

"What do you mean it just happened?"

"I don't know what to say. He seems to have a big connection with the government or something."

"I will handle it." I said and hung up the phone. "Mom, they say he had help from the government!"

"What?  Oh I am going to kill him." Mom said and left the office banging the door.

The loud noise caused my daughter to wake up. "Mum?"

"Baby" Helena said and both of us ran to her side.

"How are you baby?" I asked her while I put some of her hair behind her ear so they won't be on her face.

"I am a little hurt but I will be ok. Can I have some water please?" My baby asked.

"Sure thing princess, right away." Helena said and ran out of my moms office.

It is just me and Sammy now.

"Did he do anything to you?" I asked her and held her hand.

"Like what he did to you?" She asked and I felt ashamed for some reason.

"It's not your fault mum!" She held my hand tighter. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked me with tears in her eyes and I could feel a couple of tears escaping mine.

"This is not something that should be bothering you. You should know that both me and your mama love you very much and that will never change."

"He raped you!"

" I know! And that makes him the bad guy. "

" Why did you marry him?"

" Pff... That is a different story that you don't need to kn... "

" I want to know. How did you do it. Why would you leave mama and be married to him for almost a year? "

" I didn't love him. Obviously. I didn't cheat on your mama either. I went to a party and mama had to leave early but I was having fun with a couple of friends, so I stayed. I drank a bit more than I should and I went into a room to calm down a bit. Then he came. He had followed me and he took advantage of me. I was in shock that day and didn't do anything. The next day I went to the police and gave them his description and told them what happened. After a couple of hours a person came to ask me some questions. It was an FBI agent and he asked me for my help to catch him. Your father was a very dangerous man, wanted by many. So the agent proposed to me to pretend that I want him so he will trust me and we could collect the information we needed. And I agreed. I couldn't say anything to anyone. Not even your mama. And when he proposed I had to say yes. It wasn't easy but I made sure he would be in prison for the rest of his life. He wasn't supposed to get out... "

"That must have been hard."

" It was. But at least I had you! You helped me get through that. Because I couldn't stand the idea that something like what happened to me would happen to you. And I promise you I won't let it happen. "

" Why didn't you abort me? "

" I thought about it but I couldn't. You are my child. Not his. And I was lucky enough to have your mama with me. She was, is and I know that she will always be there for both of us!"

At that moment the door opened and my wife came in with water, and a couple of Sammy's favorite snacks. " Here is your water!" She said out of breath.
