She woke up in Thomas' arms and for a moment that felt like eternity she jumped out his arms. Ignoring her dizzyness and the fact that it was hard to stand she stood up and started to walk backwards until a desk stopped her. "Wh-who are you? What are you doing in our house?" The first useful thing, she could grab was in her fist.
Thomas raised his hands a bit to show that he's no danger. "I'm Thomas Sharp, I won't hurt you. Just put that down." She hesitated, but put the chasel back on the table. "A-are you a ghost or something?" He looked at her face.
It wasn't horror anymore, more like curiosity which mirrored on her face. "Yes. It's a long story. My sister and I lived here back in the 19th Century." It was strange to talk again for him. She tiredly sighed and fell onto a chair and buried her face into her hands.
"Do you want me to leave?" She looked back up at him. "Honestly I don't care. Nothing really matters. I mean I'm talking to a ghost from the 19th Centuries. I guess it doesn't really matter if I can see you or not." She slid from the chair onto the floor ignoring the dirt.
"I'm going insane here...""I just wish nobody would go down into the basement. My sister is most probably there." She nodded. "You saw me crying?" "My apologies. I didn't mean to" She stood up. "No, it's fine. You did nothing wrong. Sorry I have to go learn for school.-" She left the room, Thomas right after her. "You know we just moved here. New school. It's complicated." The ghost nodded and walked next to her. "What kind of school are you going?" She looked at him. "It'd be an art-college but I'll also go to to a music school. But that's just extra." She shrugged.
They walked down the stairs. "Shit I forgot my books in the attic" Jeanne ran back up into the attic. Thomas followed. "So you can play an instrument?" She grabbed her books. "I play the guitar since highschool, I learn since two years piano and started violin last year. I also sing, but don't really preform or something like that. Just at home." He gave her a suprised look. "That is a lot." She shrugged. "It's really important to my grandparents to be able to play at least one instrument. I'm physicly not at top, so I chose to learn." Thomas nodded. They were at the end of the stairs, when Thomas made himself invisible. She walked up to her room and locked the door. Thomas made himself visible again.
"So you've been walking around in the house the whole time?" Thomas nodded. She picked up a book and threw it at him. He looked at her confused and picked up the book. "That's for stalking." She sat down and started to do some math. "What can this do?" Sharp asked and pointed at the calculator. "That helps in maths. You can put calculations in and it does the work for you, like this, look." She showed him how the calculator works. "But actually it's also on my phone." She said and held her phone up. In response, the girl got a questioning look from Thomas. She let out a small giggle. "Right, now I have to explain phones?" Thomas just looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "Well the first telephone was invented in... I forgot when and was actually used only for communication. It was much bigger. But as the time passed we got these. You can do literally anything on them like, well cummunicate, research, listen to music, taking notes and so much more. For example you can play games on it. Or whatch videos. Take pictures." Thomas lost his words and looked at the little thing with curiossity. She put her thumb on the side of it and the... phone changed. There was a picture of her and some other girls and on top of the picture little signs.
A suprised expression appeared on Thomas' face. "How does it work?" He asked, sitting down on the chair next to her curious like a child.
She giggled a bit. "It works with electricity. Like a lot of things we own. I don't want to do this shit." She threw her school books trough the room and wanted to change the topic. "You look actually really cool with everything white and roasty."
Thomas touched his cheek where he was stubbed by Lucille. "Cool?"
She started to jump on the bed. "Cool." She leaned froward in the air, causing to fall on her stomach. "Ever had girlfriends?"
Thomas looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Wifes. And I don't wish to talk about them."
She turned to lay on her back, her head hanging upside-down off the bed. "You were married? How many wifes did you have?" He sighed.
"I had four wifes..." She sat back on the bed. "Four? What happened that you had so many?"
He didn't dare to look at her. Why did he have the urge to tell her everything, he kept for cetruries? "You wouldn't like the story." He said and sat beside her on the bed. "I had a girlfriend." She said. Thomas furrowed his browes. "But. You're a girl?" She laughed and lay on the bed, her arms over her head. "It wasn't even real. She had a fight with her boyfriend and was with me for a week probably only to annoy him. They got back together and I was just a friend again. I'm happy for them. They are cute together, but still." She scoffed and looked at Thomas. "You were together with a girl?" He asked again. She laughed a bit and sat back up. "A lot of people are attracted to their own gender, Sir. But I can't say no to males either."
She gently stroke his cheek, looking at the rostly scar on it. "How old were you when you died?" He looked her in the eyes. "About 30. How old are you?" She pulled her hand away and a grin grew on her lips. "Sir aren't you aware that it's not nice to ask a Lady of her age? I'm 19." She laughed. Thomas stroke a stray of her hair behind her ear. "So young..." He gently touched her cheek as he pulled his hand slowly away and fake- coughed once. (Ghosts don't actually cough) "When will your school start?" She shook her head as if trying to get out of a trance-like state. "Ermm. Next week." He nodded. "Have fun"
She rose one eyebrow. "Oh I definatly won't". Thomas looked questioning at her. "School sucks." She answered the unasked question. The answer made the ghost laugh. "What?" She asked with a confused face. He calmed himself and looked at her. "You're the most fascinating woman I've ever met. No one would say such thing back then.""People liked school, or what?" She asked with a disgusted face.
"They wouldn't use the word 'suck' " She nodded slowly. There was a knock on the door. "You should leave. And no stalking" She stood up, wispering to the ghost. On her way to rhe door, she opened the window, sending dust all over the room. Behind the door stood her step-father and she only looked at him for a moment, she immidatly shot the door into his face and jumped back on the bed.___________________________________________
Sry I didn't write in a long-long time, but I was quite busy and uncreative. I'll try to write more often, but I wont promise anything. I actually never promise anything. I recommend that strategy since than, you can never break promises. Anyway, Thanks for reading!
