Everwood forest

The forest began to get darker the more we walked in. The path below our feet was beginning to disappear slowly, the gravel shifting slightly as we walked. "So~" Rose began to speak "where are we going?" She asked softly. "I honestly don't know" I replied looking at the surroundings. "I feel out of place here. It's.... creepy" Luke whispered. I turn to face him and give a small hit of a smile, Kai reaches for his hand and try's to calm his nerves. The bushes begin to rustle, the noise echoes around us. We all immediately stop in our tracks, frantically looking around. "Ace, why don't you take a look" Kai whispers in my ear. I quickly turn my head to face them, shaking my head 'no'. "Why me?!?" I ask, terror creeping into my voice, "your the eldest" they said with the most evilest smile they could make. My jaw drops slightly "really?" They begin to nod their head, Grayson turns towards me and gives me a small smile of encouragement. I sigh "fine". I begin to creep towards the bush to the right, the rustling leaves slow down as I inch myself forward. One foot in front of another, I reach out to see what's inside the bush. I try to look past the leaves, only to see nothing at all. I slowly turn around a urged the others to come over "there's nothing there!" I shout. I begin to walk forwards to meet them half way—
"Ace! Look out!!" Jacklyn shouts panic present in her voice. "Huh?" I quickly turn on the heels of my feet now facing the bush... "Ahhh!" I tumble backwards landing on the dirt with a loud thud. "What the fuck!" I shout at the figure standing before me. The figure seemed to be a tall male that looks to be in his late teens. He had a black gas mask covering the lower part of his face, large goggles on his eyes. His brown hair almost covering his hazardous green eyes. "Woah" I say in a hushed tone. I can hear Kai squeal behind me, they sound like a girl that has just seen their crush. "Your X-Virus!" They screamed in excitement, on the other hand Luke seemed so scared. He took a large step backwards to try and leave. Grayson, Rose and Jacklyn seemed pretty chilled, they were obviously shocked but masked it very well. "You've heard...of me?" Liu asked, he sounded genuinely surprised. I begin to stand up, rubbing the dirt off of my back, X-Virus was a fair bit taller than me. "Of course we have!" I reply, smiling slightly. "We love the creepypastas". He looked taken aback by the idea of people 'likening' creepypastas. He looked towards the others each one nodding.
There was a moment of tense silence. The wind began to howl, the forest began to gradually get darker. I heard giggling behind us. It was familiar but I couldn't remember where from. I took a few steps back to stand by my friends. The giggling became louder and louder with each passing second. "What's that sound?" Luke asked nervously, "I'm not sure" Kai answered, they held out their hand for Luke to hold. The giggling began to slowly fade out. "FUCK!" Kai yelled, quickly yanking their hand away from Luke. "What's wrong?" Grayson asked calmly, He's too calm I think to myself. "Something just touched me!" They shout. Kai quickly hides behind me, the giggling soon began once more, becoming louder than before. "Well, well, well...." A glitchy voice began to speak. We all quickly began to look around, the voice sounded so close but there's nothing there. I feel a vibration go off from my phone. I take out my iPhone and open it, my lock screen was a picture of the front of Everwood forest. I unlock my phone and check my messages. "Huh?" I look up from my phone and look at the others, I notice that X-Virus was gone weird. "What's wrong" Rose asks, I've had a message from an unknown number." I reply, I look down towards my phone once more "what does it say?" Jacklyn asks. Kai looks over my shoulder and reads the message for me. "I kNow your here. You're, Going tO DIE."
'Ring, ring' 'ring,ring'
A caller ID pops up on my phone, it's from someone called BEN. I press answer, a static like voice began to repeat the message. My phone seemed to glitch whilst he was speaking. "Why don't you turn around?" 'BEN' then began to giggle maniacally. I hang up the phone immediately, putting my phone into my pocket. "We should get going" Grayson spoke nervously. Everyone had a look of uncertainty and fear, all except Kai. Kai had a look of fear and excitement. Weird gremlin child. I sigh "You can all stay the night at mine tonight. Let's go" I turn around. "Race ya!" Kai shouts. We then quick as a flash bolt out the forest towards my house. What a 'great' birthday.
