CHAPTER 2

PROGRESS>>>

After a nicely weird dinner, I and victory took a stroll through the football field

"so victory, how was your ex" I asked
she stared at me at first, like someone who didn't want to talk about it
"please" I smiled a little
"okay, umm Bliss is like a maniac, yeah he's cute and all but seriously this boy needs to change, he's broken a lot of hearts and still tends to break more of them" she said
I stared at this girl like a moron

"what's that look for"she asked
"when they said all boys are players, this is literally what they meant, why would anyone do that, I mean, I had an ex yes I did but she is my only ex, as in just my first" I said
"wow, what did she do"
"turns out she just dated me for fame and power, like who does that, when I found out I quickly cut her off"
"seems you're the gentle type " Victory said and held my hand
"gentle... No, I'm as crazy as great and TJ"
She laughed as we stopped to sit down on the grass
"those boys really need a break, I remember when we were in the same school, I could not breathe thanks to them, those boys are crazy, trust me"
She laughed" you're funny"

I smiled and stared into her face

Then the area became cold
"is it about to rain? "victory asked
"not quite sure" I said

"well, well, well" I heard a voice and took victory in my arms

"I know that voice" victory said
"bliss?"I asked
"yeah, nice guess"

"hello victory, long time" a guy walked out from the bushes some feet away
"what do you want Bliss? " victory asked

"well you know, just strolling through and found my girlfriend with another guy"
"I'm not your girlfriend you idiot"

Bliss's eye color changed"what did you just call me?"
"I called you an idiot,cause that's what you are"

Bliss turned around and took a few steps "okay, I guess, I should take my leave now"
"yeah, leave" I said

"of course I will bro"then he stopped"but not without destroying you both first"
He turned around quickly, his hands were on fire

"goodbye" he said and threw it at us
I quickly blocked the flame with a huge shield from my mind

I stood in front of victory

"who are you?" Bliss's voice sounded demonic and he threw another flame at me

I quickly countered the flame and said;
"call me the Phoenix"

Immediately I said that my left hand glowed deep red
"I didn't want to use this but, well, okay" with that I dashed at him

VICTORY >>>

The moment he punched bliss, a huge wave pushed me backwards
Then I looked at my hands, the tattoos from that mysterious happening at the assembly this morning glowed

"okay this is kind of weird"

"progress" I said as my hands glowed purple
Bliss punched progress backwards and laughed

"don't fight it victory, let it all out,free your mind from all distractions"

I took a deep breath and pointed in bliss's direction
Lightning surrounded bliss and he fell to the ground

"you may have beaten me, but I'll make sure you all pay, mark my words victory"

With that he disappeared

Progress knelt down, feeling weak
"what just happened" I asked

He stared at me"how do I explain this, how do I explain this" he said
"explain what, this tension is killing me" I said
"victory, you have superpowers"

I froze

"I what?"I asked just to be sure
"you have superpowers, all what happened this morning at the assembly hall was your activation"progress said
"activation, how, when, who, me, I have a lot of questions okay, just tell me all"

Progress sighed,
"you victory,you have the ancient powers of the eagle, weird but true, your powers might have been gifted to you but it took long to activate, what happened today was the activation of your powers, mine was already activated a long time ago,like way, way,way,way long time ago, don't worry, you'll get used to it"

I only stared at this boy in a awkward way

"okay now that look is kind of weird, I know you're scared but trust me, having powers are fun,its cute okay? "progress said

"I am not okay" I thought

"I heard that" progress said
"you can read thoughts? Jeez progress"i gawked

Progress only chuckled "you just got to the craziest part of life, come on, let's go"
