Ellie's POV
I stare at the sun as I take some snap shots. The sun was setting slowly. I sighed, satisfied. The nature has always been my top priorities on taking pictures. I've always loved how the sun shines, the clouds float, the flowers bloom. I loved it.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated making me jump on my seat. I pulled it our and checked the message. My eyes widened. It was one of my co-workers, James, telling me that our boss was there.
"Shit." I muttered, getting off New york's famous Brooklyn Bridge. I gathered my things and dusted my jeans off. I ran, my hands gripping my iphone and camera bag to find a cab to the Studio.
After what felt like hours, a cab stopped right in front of me. Thank god. I quickly got in and settled my things.
"To where miss?" the driver asked, a genuine smile on his face.
"Upper East Side." I said, smiling as I texted.
To: James
On my way babe. xx
I leaned back on the seat and pushed all my wavy brown hair to my right side. I stared outside the window as I played with it. New york's really beautiful. It made me miss London so much.
I was born in England. Yes, I have a british accent. I grew up there with my workaholic parents so, I needed to become independent at an early age. I wasn't popular when I got to my teenager years. I was know as the school's nerdy loner. I have no friends well, he doesn't really count as one.
My parents were divorced when I was fourteen. I chose to live with my mum but, after 'that' happened, I moved to NYC. To my dad and his new family. No, I don't have two bitchy step sisters like Cinderella. I actually liked my older step sister, Anna and my little step brother, Aiden. I studied here and discovered my passion on photography.
When I was 18, I moved out. Not that I don't love them, It's just that it felt like...I didn't fit there. So, I lived on an apartment of my own. At first, It was rough but, I managed through. I got the job of my dreams, being a photographer.
I snapped out of my thoughts as I heard the driver talking.
"We're here miss. Take care." I gave him a smile as I handed the money. I grabbed my things and got off the cab. I ran towards our studio as I say sorry to the people I ran past to. Suddenly, I bumped to a large figure, making me fall.
I cursed under my breath and stood up. I picked my things up but, saw the person I bumped to holding it to me. I smiled at him as I took a small review on him. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie but I could still see some of his curls hanging out, sunglasses, some chinos and some toms. He seem to look shocked but, smiled at me and held out my things.
"Here you go love." He said with a dazzling smile. He has dimples and a british accent. That's so cute! but, He looks kind of familiar. Did I had a photo shoot with him? or is he on commercials?
"Have we met before?" I asked in thin air, realizing that the hot british guy was gone. I frowned. Where did he go? I look around to see someone familiar but, all I saw was lights and unfamiliar people.
Then, something clicked in my mind. The curls, the voice, the accent. No. It can''t be. It can't be him. Suddenly, every memory with him flashes in my mind.
"Oh trust me. You'll leave me like everyone." I scoffed, bringing my knees to my chest. He looked at me and wrapped his arms around me, embracing me. I felt my heart instantly softened.
"No no no. I won't ever leave you. I will never ever do that. I'm your friend remember? I'll always be here."
I'll always be here.
