The Ash Woods

Prologue

Y/N POV

It's dark outside... I-I can't see. "M-mini! Mini where are you!?" y/n calls out from within the forest. Where is she? I try to look around for more clues. Suddenly, I woke up screaming for Mini. I look around spotting Mini near the ocean water playing with sand. I look to my right to find Leslie putting on an oversized t-shirt over her two-piece bathing suit. Just then she looked at me. I look away quickly. She laughs. "I told you I'd watch Mini while you sleep y/n," Leslie told me as I started to get up. "By the way, how did you sleep? I heard you screaming for Mini," Leslie stated, watching me put on an oversized hoodie over my swimwear. "Not that good, I dreamed about finding Mini again in the dark forest," I said while putting on my shoes.

"You mean the time you found Mini in the woods full of ash?" Leslie asked me. "Yeah, It's odd though how I found her," I said. "Yeah, it was weird... Well, anyways it's time to go. So we better start packing," Leslie said while starting to pick up the towels. "Alright," I agreed. "Mini! Come on! We are going here already!" I shout to Mini. "M'kay," Mini shouts back. "Come on, help me pack up y/n," Leslie said as Mini made her way over to us. "Why do I keep dreaming about it though? What's so important about it Leslie?" I said sighing.

"Look y/n, I don't know why you're dreaming all of this now, even though it's been 3 years., but I promise we will figure this out," Leslie said to me while starting to pick up our trash. I start to help Leslie pick up the trash as Mini comes over and helps us clean up. Leslie closes the trash bag. "Alright," I said while picking up Mini with one arm and laying the other arm on a red ice chest we had brought with us. "You ready girls ready to leave?" I asked both Mini and Leslie. "Yeah," Leslie said picking up both bags with her.

"Sure," a sleepy Mini said while resting her head on my shoulder. "Alright, let's go then," I said as the three of them started to follow the path leading back to their car.

Y/N's POV

As we were walking to the car, I was slowly starting to get a massive headache. I think both of them noticed because Mini got off me and said she could walk on her own now. Leslie also shifted the bags around so she could drag the ice chest I was previously dragging. As the Car came into view my ears started to ring loudly. It hurts so bad. I covered my ears to stop the ringing but to no avail. It wouldn't stop hurting. I look up to see Leslie running toward me. "Y/n! Are you okay!?" I hear her faintly ask me. "Don't worry, we're going to help you. Oh god! Y/n you're bleeding! Mini! Grab the first AID kit. My vision starts getting blurry. The last thing I see is Mini running to the car to get the first AID before i black out.

Leslie's POV

As I turned my attention from Mini once she gave me the first AID I turned around and saw y/n bleeding from her nose and she was passed out. The first thing I did was tell Mini to put the stuff in the car. The second thing I did was fix her bloody nose. At this point, Mini was struggling to put the ice chest in the trunk of the car. After I fixed y/n's bloody nose I picked them up and carried them over my shoulder. Although y/n was slightly heavier than me, I knew y/n was very strong. I slowly made my way over to Mini with y/n on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" Mini asked me walking up to meet me halfway.

"I'm sure, but could you open the front passenger door please?" I asked Mini. "Mhmn," she hummed and ran back to the car to open the door for me. Once I reached it, I set y/n down gently on the seat, buckled her up, and closed the door. I also buckled up Mini since she was starting to get sleepy. After I made sure they were both secure, I put the ice chest in the trunk and closed the trunk heading to the driver seat. I got in my seat and turned on the car. Everything was normal till I looked in the rearview mirror before driving. There was a tall slender man behind the vehicle. Startled, I look back and find no one there. Weird. I start driving once I knew everything was set.

A couple of hours later and we were on the freeway. Thankfully y/n had woken up now. She seemed dazed though. "What's wrong?" I ask y/n. "N-nothing, where are we?" y/n asked.

Y/N POV

"What's wrong?" Leslie asked me. "N-nothing, where are we? What happened? Why does my head hurts" I asked her. "We're almost to your house y/n. You fell unconscious when your nose started to bleed, and you hit your head," She explains to me. "Oh," I said, suddenly I remember what happened to me in a flash. Then I remembered the strange dream I had. It was dark and cold, I was inside a forest and there was fog everywhere. I couldn't see anything but a tall thin figure in the distance. "We're almost there," Leslie said as Mini woke up and started to jump in her seat from excitement. After a couple of minutes, Mini chants, "We're here! We're here!"

I smile at Leslie and she smiles back. I get out of the car to help get my things down. Mini helped me get off my stuff out of the trunk and inside my house. Placing the items on the counter; Mini leaves me be, goes outside, and gets back in the car, waiting for Leslie. Leslie hugs me goodbye and leaves.

~Later that night~

Y/N's POV

I don't have any idea why I woke up so early in the morning, but I got out of bed to check the time and it was 1:30 am. Oh my god, why did I wake up so early? Then I looked out the window in my bedroom only to find it slightly open. When did I open the window? Oh well, guess I'll just close it now. And that's when I saw it. The tall slender figure in my backyard. As soon as I saw though he disappeared. I turned around and he was in the corner of my room. Suddenly static filled my ears. I blacked out. The last thing I saw was a figure bending over me.
