A few days have passed since Austin was at lake Cyan and he caught his four new Pokémon his Squirtle was male with the Torrent ability and had the egg moves aqua ring, mirror coat, and life drew all were locked, his Krabby was male with the sheer force ability egg moves include night slash, and knock off all of which were locked, his Corphish was also male with the adaptability ability and the egg move metal claw which was locked, and finally Raboot was male with the libero ability with the egg move sucker punch which was locked. The group was currently at a Pokémon Center training while training Austin's Squirtle evolved into Wartortle.

After the training session was over Austin had his Pokémon over to Nurse Joy to have them looked over. After she took them to the back of the building Austin went over to where Rosa was sitting and sat next to her.
Austin: We're a day away from Vermilion City, you doing alright?
Rosa: Yeah, I'm doing alright, thanks again for letting me come with you on the journey.
Austin: Your welcome, you're doing well with the training, and you were able to catch a Pokémon without having to battle it.
Rosa: Thanks to you.
The doors to the center then opened up.
?: Gary, Gary he's our man if he can't do it no one can.
Rosa: Is that a cheering squad?
Austin: Yeah it is, and they belong to Gary Oak the grandson of professor Oak.

Gary: Hey where's Nurse Joy I need to her to heal my Pokémon?
Austin: She's healing my Pokémon.
Gary: Well tell her to stop looking at your Pokémon so she can heal mine.
