"Oh Kaveh, if only there was someone who loved you,"

Kaveh awoke with a jolt, there was a burning sensation in the back of his throat. A nightmare that has plagued his sleep ever since the night his mother had left, oh how he missed her dearly. If only he had been a better son, then maybe she would have considered staying, instead he just drove her away from him.

Kaveh lifted himself out of his bed, he had work to be done he cant afford to sit around like this all day.

He looked out the window which revealed a beautiful sunrise, oh how he wished this moment lasted forever. Kaveh looked over towards the clock which displayed the time '06:27' which meant he still had a couple hours to add finishing touches to his project.

He hoped that his client would be happy with the finished work, he really needs this money or else he wouldn't be able to afford rent this week.

It was a miracle his roommate, Al Haitham hadn't kicked his sorry ass back to the street already. Kaveh was already three weeks behind on rent, if he couldn't pay for another week Al Haitham is sure to be furious.

Kaveh let out a loud groan as he rested his head on the wall, why did he chose this profession?

"Look who's finally awake," Al Haitham teased rolling his eyes.

"Wish I wasn't if it means I have to see your dumbass face," Kaveh replied sarcastically.

"Oh please," Al Haitham rolled his eyes, "You can't even stop looking at my face,"

"What..?! Don't make such ridiculous assumptions!" Kaveh yelled out, turning his face away to hide the blush covering his cheeks.

Al Haitham smirked and turned to around, going back to reading whatever boring old book was in his hand.

Kaveh walked into the kitchen still blushing bright red, cursing his roommate under his breath. As if he enjoyed looking at his stupid roommates dumb face, so what if maybe he did find him a little bit attractive.

"Absolutely ridiculous," Kaveh muttered while shaking his head as he brewed a fresh pot of coffee.

"Do you want a cup of coffee," The blonde asked still flustered.

"Alright," Al Haitham nodded.

A faint smile rested on Kaveh's face as he hummed to the tune of his favourite song and tapped on the counter as he waited for the pot of coffee to brew.

He grabbed the pot of coffee and poured it into 2 mugs, he added whipped cream and sprinkles to his own coffee, just the way he liked it.

Kaveh carried Al Haitham's coffee over to the table where he had been reading his book, and placed the mug next to his roommate. Kaveh went to pull his hand away from the table but his sleeve had caught onto the corner of the table and lifted up, revealing red lines covering his wrists.

Al Haitham started in horror, and sat there mouth wide open.

"Kaveh-" Al Haitham tried to speak but Kaveh had pulled his sleeve down and ran off towards his room.

Kaveh slammed the door to his room shut, how could he let this happen? Now Al Haitham will think he's just weak and pathetic.

His breaths started become quick and erratic, as though his throat was closing up. He let out a loud sob, tears that just wouldn't stop poured down his face. His body trembled and shook, his chest was heaving and loud sobs tore from his throat.

How could he possibly be this stupid? How could he just let this happen? Was it because he was so weak?

He let his guard down and the carpet was torn from beneath his feet.

A soft knock and a voice that could only belong to his roommate, "Kaveh?"

No, This couldn't be right. Al Haitham couldn't possibly care for him, a burden? All he did was cause problems for his roommate.

"Kaveh, Please, I just want to talk!" the scribes voice came from behind the door, just above a whisper.

His voice sounded so soft, how could he possibly deserve such treatment?

"Why would you possibly care for me?" A weak sob retched its way out of his throat.

For a moment the world was completely silent, the type of silence that would drive one mad. Perhaps Al Haitham had never been there and he had just hallucinated the whole thing?

"You mean the world to me Kaveh, please just open the door," Al Haitham spoke, "please,"

Kaveh's mouth hung open, the Scribe actually cared for him? How could this be?

"I love you, more than anything or anyone, everything you do makes my stomach twist and turn in unimaginable ways," Al Haitham's voice shook as he spoke.

Kaveh couldn't stop the tears, only this time not because he was sad, but because he felt genuine happiness and joy. The nights he had spent wishing, wishing that maybe just maybe his beloved roommate loved him back.

Kaveh opened the door, and wrapped himself in the Scribes arms like his life depended on it.

"Kaveh, promise me that you will try not to hurt yourself ever again," Al Haitham's voice cracked "promise me,"

"I promise," Kaveh's voice came out just above a whisper, "I promise I'll try,"

"Come to me whenever such a thought plagues your mind," His voice softly whispered, "I will drop anything I'm doing just to comfort you, I swear"

Kaveh couldn't help the loud sobbed that clawed its way out of his throat. He had never felt this loved, what had he done to deserve this?

"I love you to," Kaveh whispered, a light blush appearing on his face.

"Lets get you to bed, alright?" Al Haitham whispered, brushing a few stray hairs behind Kaveh's ear and planting a soft kiss to his forehead.

"But..! Its only early?!" Kaveh said incredulously.

"You look like you could use a nap," the Scribe stated.

Kaveh gave up, letting himself be carried towards Al Haitham's room. He was set down gently on said mans bed, which was surprisingly comfy?

Al Haitham climbed into the bed next to the blondie, wrapping him in his warm arms.

The grey haired man trailed soft kisses all over Kaveh's neck, whispering reassuring words into Kaveh's ear until they both fell asleep.

Then they lived happily ever after blah blah blah idc.
