"Yo Komo, we got a new mission from Lord Third." Dog stated as he walked towards his captain. Komo looked up at Dog with a blank expression.
"Who else is assigned to the mission with us?" He asked as he began to unwrap the bandages from around his eyes.
"Weasel and Crow as usual. Seems like an important mission since it's S-Rank." Dog answered as he watched Komo take off the bandages from around his eyes.
"You sure that's a wise decision to do? You just got your new eyes a week ago?" Dog asked slightly concerned. Komo looked up at Dog and flashed his new crimson eyes, the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
"I'll be fine Kakashi. With me having Uzumaki and Senju DNA in my body, they healed rather quickly. I just kept the wraps around my eyes to see how it feels to be blind." Komo asked as he walked towards his locker and began dressing for the mission that was assigned. Dog sighed and shook his head slightly.
"That may be true, but are you mentally ready to be back in the field Naruto? After what happened two weeks ago with Lord Fourth and Lady Kushina sadly passing?" Kakashi asked his little brother in all but blood seriously.
Naruto paused as he grabbed both of his katana's and stared at his reflection. To be honest he didn't have enough time to really grieve for his parent's death.
Due to him being an ANBU Captain and the next successor for the ANBU Commander spot, he's been taking missions back to back like it was nothing. To get his parents death off his mind, he believed that the best option for him was to be numb to it and put it behind him, for now. Naruto sighed and skillfully strapped his twin katanas to his back.
"I'm fine Kakashi. There's no need to worry about my mental health. Trust me, if it was really bothering me, I would have said something to you and the other two as I see you three as my brothers." Naruto stated before grabbing his mask and putting it on his face. He then turned to Kakashi and flashed his Sharingan briefly.
"Enough of this talk. Let's head to the Hokage's office. I'm pretty sure the other two are already there waiting on us." Naruto said as Kakashi nodded before the both disappeared in their respective body flicker.
-Hokage's Office-
"Dog, Koro. I see you've made it. Good, now unto the details about your mission." Lord Third said as Koro walked to the front as Dog stayed behind him with Crow and Weasel standing next to him.
"What's the mission Lord Third?" Naruto asked as Lord Third took a puff from his pipe and exhaling the smoke from his lungs. He gained a serious look on his face, showing that this mission is showing high importance.
"Right. You four will go to the border of the fire country and meet up with stone village ANBU operatives. It seems that the Kage of their respective village wants to peaceful negotiations. Your mission is to obtain the scroll and bring it back no matter the cost." Hiruzen stated as the other three operatives nodded their heads, except for Naruto.
"There is something more to this mission, isn't there?" Naruto asked as Hiruzen smirked before looking at Naruto.
"Perspective as ever I see. Yes there is. That old bastard wouldn't want to negotiate anything with the leaf due to his damn ego. I suspect it's set up. Which is why I didn't send a group of Jonin to do this mission. This mission is S-Rank borderline SS-Rank." Hiruzen stated. Naruto nodded but in his mind he was thinking about many things before his eyes slightly widen.
"That old fool wouldn't..." He said in slight shock. Hiruzen looked at his next potential successor for the Hokage seat with a knowing smirk.
"Indeed he would. I believe he's sending his Jinchuriki to send a message. But I'm always head of this senile fool. Which is why I requested you four. You four are perfect for this mission. And as your Hokage, I'm demanding you to make a statement. He thinks that our village is weakened with shinobi due to the Kyubbi attack. He thinks that we have lost power due to that. So I am demanding you to make a statement. Kill everyone you see there. Jinchuriki included." Hiruzen said in anger shocking Naruto and the other three as well.
