The Nature of Frost (Jack Frost/ROTG)

Chapter 1

*YEARS LATER*

JACK POV 

"JACK! WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT EATING MY COOKIES?!?!" North yelled. i quickly pointed at an elf with my staff, "It was him!" I said innocently. Yeah, I like hanging out at North's place, it's better than looking at bloody teeth at Tooth's or hanging out with the Easter Kangaroo so I like it here. Baby tooth was nestled into my hoodie pocket, and I quickly went to my favorite area in this big place. The big window. I sat on the windowsill, and started to draw with my frost. Suddenly I heard the alarms, and the northern lights went out. Oh no, I rushed to the globe. What was happening?? The lights were all shining. It's been years since Pitch attacked us. "North, what's happening?" I asked. "Manny, he has chosen new guardian." North said as the rest assembled. "Oh really!! Who is it???" Tooth shouted excitedly. "We'll see." Bunny smirked. The crystal suddenly started to go up from the floor. "Is this how I was picked?" I asked. North nodded. Suddenly there was a girl, that looked like she was carved from the ice. She had a cloak on, and she was beautiful. Tooth gasped, "Mother Nature!" I facepalmed. "What is it Frost?" Bunny said. "Come on! Mother Nature! Isn't she like, one of the big ones?" I asked. Everyone shrugged. "So when are we gonna get her?" Bunny asked. "Now?" Tooth assumed anxiously. As the rest of the guardians argued about when to get her, I looked again at the ice. She was beautiful. I wanted to get her here, now.

NAT POV 

Yeah, it's been years since I was 'born' but I like my outfit. You know, the cloak and such, so I kept it. I've gotten my glimpses at the big four, and that Jack Frost. Yeah, my name is Mother Nature, but I prefer Nat. So much simpler. I control nature. Simple as that. The elements, animals, plants, everything. Yeah, the weather is nature too. I can control all of it. I have powers from every element, too. I have ice powers, fire powers, water powers, the whole bit, so I can bring the seasons! You know, melt the snow with fire, etc. I come and bring spring, summer, winter, and fall. Jack Frost helps out with winter, and the Easter Bunny with Spring, but I got this. When I don't feel like manually bringing the season to the city or country at that, I just get one of my arrows, blow onto it what season, and shoot. It brings the season to the town, city, or even country in a snap. I really bring the seasons whenever I want, but I always stay in the same order. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall. I decide when the season starts, and I bring it. There isn't really any deadlines involved.  

Oh yeah. No one sees me, or really believes in me. It's kinda heart breaking. But I love the kids that have moms and dads that tell them those ancient legends of mother nature bringing the seasons and they believe.  

I was in a town that was famous in the spirit world. Where Pitch Black was defeated. I walked the streets, wondering how great of a battle it must have been. The battles I have are with trees. Wayyyyyy better I know. Notice the sarcasm? No? Ok.  

I head into an alleyway, pulling my hood up. It's getting really chilly. Darn that Jack Frost.

JACK POV 

We had finally decided to get Mother Nature tonight. Tooth was so excited to finally have another girl. "Hey Tooth, why don't you go get her memories, just in case." I whispered. She nodded her head, and flew off. "It looks like she is in Jamie's city!" North laughed. "Bunny, we can stuff her in the bag, like Jack!" he said. I rolled my eyes, "That's no way to treat a girl!" I say. "Well too bad, mate," Bunny smirked. "Ok, fine, but I'm going to pay Jamie a little visit." I say, opening the window, and flying out into the night. I stop at the familiar house, and look inside. Jamie is now 13 and still is a firm believer. Jamie was still up, playing on that thing called like a iPod or something. I open the window, and step inside. Jamie looked up, "Jack!" he whisper-yells, and jumps into my arms. "Hey Jamie!" I say, giving him a noogie. "What are you doing here?" He asks. "Bunny is picking up a new guardian, and I thought I'd stop by," I smirked. He hugged me. "Hey where's your sister?" I asked him. "Asleep, Bunny should come down again." Jamie chuckled. I laughed. We kept talking and talking and soon enough, Jamie had fellen asleep. Now time to meet Mother Nature.

NAT POV 

I was in the alleyway, looking at the moon, when I heard a voice, "G'day, mate." I swirled around, coming face to face with the Easter Bunny. I put my hood up, "Hello." suddenly I was shoved into a sack and thrown somewhere, landing hard on ground. I lifted the sack over my head, and stood up. Good, my cloak covered everything. I was in Santa's workshop. "Welcome Mother Nature!" the Tooth Fairy said, coming up to me. "Hi, call me Nat." I said, taking my hood off. The big four were here, along with Jack Frost. Jack was looking at me weird. "What am I doing here?" I asked. "The man in the moon has picked you. You're guardian." Santa bellowed. I gasped. Maybe now I could actually fight! And for childeren! This was like a dream come true! "Really?! Oh my gosh awesome! I'd love to be a guardian! But... Why me? How do I bring joy to kids?" I asked. "You bring the seasons. Kids love swimming in summer, playing in the snow in winter, jumping into piles of leaves in fall, and playing in the park in spring." The Tooth Fairy explained. Santa pulled out a book, and introduced me to everyone, "This is Bunny, Tooth, Jack, and Sandy, oh, and I'm North!" he boomed. "Now for oath." he said.

I was ready.
