Chapter 2

I was so scared that I grabbed a candle off the table and ran down the staircase to the basement the thing in the darkness I could finally see what was hidden in the darkness it was a zombie my mom was being pinned down in the corner I didn't know if she was still breathing I looked quietly around for something to kill the zombie with but only found a hammer so I started to hit the zombie over the head one hit two hit three hits the zombie was down I was covered in blood and brains I was so confused by what just happened i turned to check on my mom and she was gone once again I heard the door open as I started heading up the staircase my mom ran out the door to her car and took off without me so I sat there in tears wounding why she would have left me in the darkness with no protection against all the things in the darkness so I waited weeks but still no sign of my mom the food was almost gone so I had to leave to find someone to help me get food I knocked on my neighbors door but had no response then I walked all the way to the nearest store to find that all the food was gone off the shelfs I looked around to see if anything was left behind but to my surprise there was nothing so I left an gone to the next store over the food was almost gone but had some candy and snacks left in a box in the back
