They began to quiver in the bitter air, and their fur prickled up in fear of what could be hidden in the dark corners or behind the jagged rocks.
"Hey, Zigs, do you hear a weird whispering sound?" Flint questioned.
"Umm… No… But I can turn on the lights!"
"And how are you going to do that in a dark cave, genius?"
Ziggy looked at Flint with a wide grin on her face and she lifted up her wrist. Then she tapped her amber stone like it was a watch. She jumped up into the air and showed the cold ground her wrist.
"OPEN SESAME!" Ziggy boomed. No response from the stone. "Uhhh, MAGIC AWAY!"
"We're gonna be here for a while… Aren't we?" Flint sighed.
"MAYBE IT ACTIVATES WITH DANCE MOVES!" Ziggy assumed.
"I can't with this…" Flint whispered under his breath - disappointed in his sister's… unique tactics. Without hesitation, Ziggy started to jump around and swing her arms.

"Can't touch this! Flint can't touch this!"
Sparks started to burst from Ziggy's shoes, sparks of ash and flames.
"I think it's starting to work Flint!"
“Uh huh. Definitely,” Flint rolled his eyes.
"Don't you know pump it up?" Ziggy sung to herself. She nudged into Flint. "C'mon Flint! Don't you know how to pump it up?"
"Ha, fine!" Flint couldn't help but laugh. He joined Ziggy in her actions.
Fire started to trail behind her feet, and spurts of ash shot from where her feet touched the ground. What was whispering previously was now revealed. It wasn't whispering it was…
"Ziggy!" Flint whispered to the still dancing cat, "ZIGGY! LOOK!"
"Huh?" Ziggy said, looking around her curiously.
Surrounding them were petrifying, black arachnids, with stubbly hair covering their bodies. They had red eyes and sharp, poisonous teeth. Their legs creeped across their geometric, sticky webs…
They spread across the walls of the cave, like eerie dream catchers that began to catch the splashes of illumination in the air. The light flickered and faded away as Ziggy and Flint looked at each other with horrified faces.
"AHHHHHHH!" they screamed as they fled the cave-room as fast as they possibly could.
Ziggy's hands started to create ash  as she ran through the lumps and lumps of cobwebs. Ash turned to sparks and soon trails of fire were sprouting out of Ziggy's feet.
"Is it getting hot in here or am I just imagining things?" Ziggy questioned naively.
Flint looked back at the path of blazing fire.
"Yeah, Zigs. You're definitely just imagining things…" Flint rolled his eyes. "C'mon! This way!"
Flint ran towards a small cavern, Ziggy shortly following behind.
Ziggy struggled to keep her eyes open.
"So… What were we doing again? Hehe…" Ziggy burped stupidly.
Ziggy stumbled on her own feet, struggling to stay on her paws.
Flint raised his eyebrow, "What's wrong with you Zigs?"
He peered over Ziggy's shoulder and looked at the side of her neck. He opened his eyes wide. A exotic cave lizard was on her shoulder - biting her cheek violently. The reptile looked at Flint, then hissed, it jumped off her shoulder and quickly  scuttled into a mouse hole.
Ziggy looked at Flint grinning. Then fell over, head first, on the ground.

"What did that bite do to you?" Flint questioned himself - shocked

"What did that bite do to you?" Flint questioned himself - shocked. Flint swiftly picked up Ziggy, the weight nearly made him fall over. Flint's mind rushed. He thought to himself.
How are we going to get out of here? Is there a way out? Is Ziggy going to be okay?
Then he thought about how Ziggy activated her powers.
"Might as well give it a shot…" he whispered to himself.
He started awkwardly dancing along to a made up beat in his head. Ziggy whispered to herself in her sleep.
"Don't you know…..… you've got to… pump it up"
She happily laughed to herself, still lying on the floor.
Flint suddenly felt something coming down his arm towards his wrist. He could feel it traveling in his bones.
"Ooh, I think I'm getting something!" Flint couldn't help his excitement.
The power reached his wrist and kept going up to his palm. A purple essence started spreading out of his fingertips and started crawling around his body like a shield. It kept on spreading onto his body. Until it reached his face…
"What is this stuff…?"  He patted his chest. His hands phased right through his body. "Am I some type of ghost?"
He slowly walked towards the wall of the cave as the heat of the fire spread closer and closer to his back. He pressed his paws against the wall and it almost seemed weightless. He pressed even harder onto it. It crumpled at his fingertips. Cracks spread across the wall rapidly.
He thought for a second. Then he had an idea. He clenched his fist aggressively, then swung his fist against the wall.
CRASH BANG POW
A part of the wall fell down dramatically. Flint's smile spread across his face.
"C'mon Zigs! We're getting out of here!" Flint exclaimed.

With all his might, Flint picked up Ziggy from her jacket  and took her through the exit of the cave

With all his might, Flint picked up Ziggy from her jacket  and took her through the exit of the cave. He heard a rumble behind him and boulders tumbled down the cave roof. They violently landed where the exit was - covering it up. Smoke meandered through the crevices of the blockage. It creeped up Ziggy's nose - waking her up from her slumber.
"Zigs! Are you okay?" Flint questioned- worried for his sister.
"Yeah… I think so… Last thing I remember is running…" she responded, itching her cheek.
She looked at her hand. It was covered with a green substance. Almost like venom.
"Let's get home and clean you up!" Flint suggested.
Ziggy and Flint found themselves wandering through a forest to find their way back home. The woods extended deep into the cozy darkness. A calming song erupted from a nearby tree where a bird had found its abode. From the soft forest floor sprouted trees of yesteryear, fallen in storms long forgotten. The seasons had been harsh, stripping away the bark and outer layers, yet rendering them all the more beautiful. The ancient forest was a tunnel into another time, a place where it could be any century and nobody would ever know that you had left, not even for a minute. From the steady rising light, and the watery warmth of the air, came the river of the forest, swooping through the shallow glen. The river rippled in black-green serenity, gliding among forest roots, calling up to forest boughs. Ziggy admired the dappled glow cascading over the water, and fell in love with the watery notes that played upon her skin.
"It's beautiful… Is it not?" Ziggy smiled at the sight of the beauty.
"Yeah… but we should really get going!" Flint realized.
Ziggy stared into the horizon and she suddenly noticed a carved out X on a tree and a perfectly placed flower bed underneath. The flowers bloomed a vibrant pink, their patterns like the work of an artist. Ivy reached out, weaving its way through the bark of the tree.
Ziggy didn't think much of it but she didn't know what it would become.
