Chaeyoung POV

"Left" I stepped back slightly to avoid the oncoming punch from my left side then counter with a right hook, hitting the pad. "Right, counter" I ducked missing the punch coming from the right side and throwing an uppercut which also met the pad.

"Punch harder kid, don't hold back" Uncle stated while I released a fury of punches on the pad. I wasn't focused, I knew it, and so did he. I pulled back and inhaled deeply. I threw more punches at incredible speed, combos and uncle had no problem keeping up with the intense speed.

He stepped forward slightly, it was all in slow motion, I anticipated it. I watched as his muscles relaxed, and his eyes slightly looked left, the movement was so subtle, it would go unnoticed by most... but not me, I saw it, I saw it all.

As soon as he stepped forward I knew what attack was coming next, I waited a fraction of a second for him to throw the punch I knew he was going to throw. As soon as he did it, I countered with another right hook, putting all my frustration into the punch. It was met with another pad but he stumbled back, allowing me to unleash yet another fury of attacks. I'd won that.

"What's on your mind kid" Uncle asked as we stood standing, I raised my eyebrows at him "hm?", "I know how you fight. You choose not to let emotions get in the way, and I admire that, which is why I know when something is bothering you" he plainly stated.

As much as I didn't want to trust what he said, he was right, my mind has been elsewhere and it has been since morning. I was thinking about her, Mina. What would she be doing right now? Does she think about last night? Does she think about me? Many emotions flooded me, but when I'm boxing I'm not supposed to feel them, I can't let them get in the way, but why is it different now?

I sighed and shrugged at him, he looked at me and exhaled, he grabbed a bottle of water tossing it to me.

"You know the event is in a month" He trailed off, I looked at him, in a month? Isn't that too soon? What if I'm not ready? Sensing my doubts, he spoke again "don't worry kid, you've been a fighter for years and we'll still be training. Don't doubt yourself too early, it might dictate what will happen" he reassured me. Ugh, when did I become such a worrier.

"I'm just worried uncle, I don't wanna fail, dad's gonna be there, he hasn't seen me fight in years" I admitted looking down, he heard him sigh "don't let it get to you, keep a level head" I heard him say, I remained silent, I didn't know what to say.

"That reminds me, the full list of fighters have been published" Uncle spoke again, I instantly snapped my head at him, "it has? really?" I questioned, he nodded. I felt nervous, anxious even, but I took a deep breath to regulate myself.

"You can have a look later, for now, let's get back to it" he began putting the pads back on. This next month is gonna be tough, but I need to focus, I have to.

Mina POV

"Hold it, hold it, hold it. Okay drop!" Momo said and I relaxed my muscles, panting a bit from all the dance practice. "I swear you get better everyday Mina-yah" she complimented and I just smiled at her, "yeah Mina, when did you get so good?" Sana handed me a water bottle, and I playfully smacked her while flipping my hair.

"How's Tzuyu, Sana" Momo grinned at her, I turned to look at her too, curious of what she had to say. As soon as the question left Momo's mouth Sana smiled and tilted her head, "she's good, great even" she responded, I raised my eyebrow "great huh", "let's just say last night was perfect for us" Sana said. The mention of last night sent instant butterflies to my stomach, last night, I smiled to myself, "now what's got you smiling like that huh" Sana looked at me causing Momo to also look at me.
