Preparatory Round

Author's Note: Hello readers! This chapter will briefly go over moments of the preparatory round, so don't expect too much detail in the fights during this round. Thank you! Enjoy!

Author POV

Shin Ryujin VS Bae Irene

Commentator 1: Ohhh, looks like Shin Ryujin is going for a fast pace start!
Commentator 2: Now Shin is a bit younger than Bae but does that matter?
Commentator 1: In a tournament like this, age might be a problem
Commentator: 2: May just be age vs experience
Commentator 1: And in some cases male vs female

Irene threw a right hook, but Ryujin's fast reflexes assisted her in moving away at the split second to dodge the oncoming hit

"Gonna be faster than that gram"

"You little bastard"

Ryujin threw a left jab but Irene quickly maneuvered her glove to guide the punch away, leaving an opening for the younger girl's face in which Irene punched her.

Commentator 1: Oooo, that's gotta hurt
Commentator 2: See, Bae Irene has faced many young and fast opponents before, a move like that? psh, don't underestimate her

Ryujin stepped back and blinked a couple times, before clenching her teeth around her mouth guard. She brought her hands back up to her face, she faked a punch and once Irene flinched, Ryujin took the opportunity and unloaded a fury of fast punches.

Irene had her hands up but was backed into a corner, covering her face from head shots but leaving her abdomen vulnerable to body shots.

A couple rounds later, Ryujin landed the final right jab on Irene's face. The older girl fell to her knees panting

"Can you continue!?" The ref yelled out and no response was emitted from the older girl

"10...9...8

3...2...1 OUT TKO" The ref yelled out after Irene remained on her knees attempting to catch her breath.

Commentator 1: There you have it folks!
Commentator 2: Shin Ryujin is going to be on the official tournament bracket!
Commentator 1: Good job out there Shin!
Commentator 2: And good luck in the tournament!

Park Jimin VS Oh Sehun

Commentator 1: Wow! And Oh Sehun is going in for the kill!
Commentator 2: You know, the raw ability of these two is amazing! It's unbelievable that they are even fighting in this round
Commentator 1: We have some very talented fighters here tonight that's for sure!

Sehun threw a left jab hitting Jimin's right cheek, causing him to stumble back

"Fuck!" Jimin half yelled through his mouth guard, a small taste of blood trickled down the boy's face

"Whoops" Sehun mumbled mockingly

Angered, Jimin threw a fake then punched with the opposite hand, successfully landing the hit on Sehun's face. Sehun backed away a bit, creating distance from the boy opposite him, his breathing was heavy but adrenaline prohibited him from feeling the pain.

After a couple minutes a ding went off signalling the end of the 3rd round

Commentator 1: The boys are still holding on here
Commentator 2: One of them has to end it soon
Commentator 1: How do you think is gonna win?
Commentator 2: At this point, I have no clue!
