Hobi noticed Bora letting out small whimpers as the others were talking around them. He stroked his long fingers through her hair, his heart hurting as he saw a few stray tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I'm so sorry this is happening this way, my sweet girl," he whispered to her. He had always dreamed of reuniting with Bora, but he had wanted it to be a happy occasion, not hurt and pained, filled like it is now. He began to hum a soothing song, hoping it would settle what was making her cry in her sleep. He smiled when he saw that it seemed to be working, her tense body relaxing, slowing with the sweet melody he was humming to her.
Thinking back, Hobi had fallen for Bora the moment he laid eyes on her. He knew deep down that she was his soulmate. He never said this to anyone, not her, and definitely not their group of friends. He had always wanted to ask her out, but never did due to being so shy and not knowing if she felt the same way he did.
When he had finally gathered the courage to, he found out that she was already dating jungkook, one of their best friends. Not long after that, the seven of them had to leave. They had been scouted to form a new idol group with a small company called Bighit. They had to leave Bora behind. Jungkook was supposed to tell her that they were leaving, but in the end, he had chickend out.
Then, everything changed the night Jin turned 21.
