I had a lot on my plate lately. Aliana and I had been working tirelessly to perfect our ice dancing routine for the upcoming competition.
After a long day of practice, I knew I needed to rest up for tomorrow's session. I took a long, refreshing shower, feeling invigorated and excited for what was to come.
After checking my phone, I realized it was already 9:50 pm.
"Fuck" I groan,
I knew I had to get some rest, so I began to prepare for bed. I took my time getting ready, making sure to stretch and relax my muscles before laying down.
I couldn't wait for the next day's practice with Aliana.
The next morning, I woke up with the sun shining brightly on on face. I was more than ready to continue practicing and perfecting the routine with Aliana.
It was seven in the morning, and I immediately began to get ready. I grabbed my skates and headed out.
As I walked to the car, I saw my father Vlad waiting for me.
"Morning Kolya," his father greeted him.
"Morning dad," I responded.
We exchanged a few words before hopping into the car and driving off to the rink.
As we arrived at the rink, I noticed Aliana heading to the front door. I quickly got out of the car and rushed to embrace her, making sure she didn't hear me coming.
Aliana laughed and shouted a nickname she had made for me that she only used,
"Niko!" She shouts,
I laughed before playfully shouting
"Alia," the nickname I decided to give her when we first met.
As we laughed, our coach Natasha yelled,
"Hey, let's get moving! You both need to warm up and start practicing the routine. The competition is only four days away!" She yelled.
Aliana and I quickly walked inside and head to the room and began to warm up, stretching my muscles.
After a few minutes, Aliana and I walked together to the locker room to sit down and start putting our skates on.
I finished before Aliana and helped her tie her skates. We began to walk to the rink, ready to practice more and more.
The ice was a bit cold at first, but we quickly got used to it. As we skated, Aliana and I worked on perfecting our routine.
We went through each move, making sure our timing was perfect and our movements were synchronized.
We practiced for hours, taking breaks only when we needed to rest.
