Just Screwed

I wake up in the back seat with the top down with my twin behind the wheel and Georgia an Austin singing along with "It Wasn't Me" I just shook my head until Ginny turned it off. "Heey" "I'm Sorry, Do you think this song is appropriate for the nine-year-old in the back?" "Oh please, He doesn't understand any of it. Austin what's this song about?" and on que "Doing it on the bathroom floor and getting caught and lying so you don't get in trouble." and all I could do was chuckle and say "Come on Ginny we've listened to worse." Still chuckling. Georgia laughs, "Go back to your Harry Potter game." I just shake my head and put back in my ear buds listening to my music and just looking up at the sky wondering what to expect what I am going to have to dill with this coming school year as the new guy again. I take a deep breath in and just trying not to worry.

As we pull up to the gas station I hop out and ask Georgia to grab me some gummy worms, "Sure Darlin, Ginny can you go ahead and fill the tank please." Ginny looked at me like "really" and I just smiled. "What we still have like an hour and a half till we get there an you know I'm always hungry. You know you love me cause you know I would never make you pump the gas, what kind of gentle men would that make me." She shook her head and moved aside as the gas started to flow. "You're gonna share the gummy's with me right?" I acted as if I was thinking. "Mmmmm no." I dead panned and she gasped, "I thought you loved me you ass hat." she stated while playfully hitting me. While she was failing I was laughing and stated, "Fine ya crazy I'll share." "Can I have some too Roan?" Austin asked sweetly an of course I couldn't refuse my him. "Of course, you know I would rather share with you than Ginny." "HEY!" She stated hitting me one last time and we all laughed. It calmed down an now we we're just waiting on Georgia, I saw a cop starting to pull up. Me and Ginny locked eye's and then at the cop as he access's me and Ginny. On que Georgia walks and as the cop starts wo walk to the gas station door. "Hi Mr. Officer!" As she got to the car me and Ginny ask at the same time in low voices, "Was that racist?" "That was racist right?" Georgia hands me the bags and tosses me my Gummy warms and I go a head and open them for Austin hoping he wasn't paying attention to our conversation. "I guess we're not leaving that bullshit in the South." I stated shaking my head. "What's with you? 'Hi Mr. Officer.' You sound like a bad porn." I laughed almost choking on a gummy worm as Georgia stated, "I could use a good pat-down. Been a while." "Gross. Seriously, just gross. Scarring. I'm scarred" "I second that." I stated finally being able to breath normally. Then we continued our drive and my headphone went right back in.

As we pull up to the house I actually take a good look at our new home 'for now' I thought. We all stand in front together, "It's a far cry from the walk-up in Houston and the apartment in New Orleans. Look at it." "It's just ours? Just the 3 of us?" Austin asked with a huge glint of hope in his eyes. "Mm-mm." "I'm getting the biggest bedroom!" He hollered as he ran inside, while me and Ginny stayed at our moms side until she started to walk forward. She turned back looking at us, "Y'all comin?" We looked at each other then Georgia slightly pushed us towards the house.

Once we looked around and picked our rooms I went outside to the moving truck starting to bring the heavy stuff in with the mover. While I was doing that Ginny, Georgia and Austin unloaded what we had in the car and brought in the lighter boxes.

Half way through Georgia and I noticed the neighbors across the street, I was chuckling at the whole ordeal until the mom turned around and screamed frustratingly out. When she had finally noticed us Georgia waved an so did I still silently laughing as she waved back stiffly. I went back to help the movers until everything was out and thanked them trying to get them gone so we didn't have to pay for more hours than we needed to and wished them a drive safe. Once I was back inside I took off my sweat soaked shirt and snuck up the stairs to Ginny's room an saw her with her back turned. I slowly snuck up behind her and tossed my shirt over her head and ran for my room to hop in the shower, and mid run I heard her scream and yell, "You asshole that was gross! You stink!" I laughed so heard I nearly ran into the wall.

When I was done showering I went a head and started to put my clothes in my dresser and putting all my books and comic books away on my book shelf how I like them. As I put my last book up Ginny came in and said that Dad was calling and I followed to her room that was barely un packed. I throw my self on her bad as she put dad on speaker, he asked us how we're doing and how we like our rooms. Basically just giving him an update about the drive and the move, then I zoned out as they were talking. Next thing I know is Ginny ducking from her window and she tells dad that we'll call him back later and I look at her like what the fuck. I got up to see what she ducked for from the window and I see that one of our neighbors is skating down the street and I just look at her weird. "Peach! I got a present for ya." We hear mom yell as she heads to the room as I go back to laying on the bed. I watch as mom shows Ginny the sweater and scarf and all Ginny could say was, "Gross" an I'm not gonna lie it really wasn't something Ginny would normally wear. "Totally, but I thought you could wear it to school tomorrow." "I won't be white and bougie even in a cable-knit sweater." She just had to insult with sass I just let out a light chuckle. "What if I pit you in a charcoal infinity scarf?" Mom tried while Ginny just looked away putting a camera on a shelf. "This is the new thing your doin? Hatin on mom? Come on this isn't us? We're like the Gilmore Girls, but with bigger boobs." I looked at her like 'what about me' she smiled. "Fine we're the Gilmore Girls with Roan being Paris." She stated while lookin at me as if saying 'did that help' and I just shook my head and laughed. "I'm just tired." Ginny stated and I walked up to her and gave her a hug and said, "Night dork don't forget to make sure I'm up, love y'all." While giving mom a hug and a kiss on the forehead and walked over to Austin's room. As I looked in I already saw him a sleep with his Harry Potter glasses still on, I took them off an put them on his night stand and tucked him in. I headed back to my room and unpacked what I could that wasn't too loud so I wouldn't wake anybody up.

I tried laying down and tried to get comfortable to sleep but my brain just wouldn't shut off. So I started to read then got bored after 30 minutes then tried doing push-ups while I read. once I got to 120 I switched to sit-ups and again once I got to 120 I just gave up on the book, an now I'm like fuck it why not squats and this time I grabs some of my loose books and put them in my old back pack and did 120 squats. Still. Not. Tired.

Walking over to my window to get some fresh air I see Georgia watering her flowers with the infinity scarf on with a glass of wine and I chuckled cause it seems like I'm not the only one that can't sleep. Next thing I see is our neighbor ride back up to his house on his board and Georgia jogs over to him and talks to him and he looks kinda shocked. When she snatches something from his and starts to run back to the house I hear, "It's Marcus." "Don't do drugs Marcus." I laugh and shake my head as she runs back in the house. I finally said fuck it an took one of my sleeping pills cause it's already 3am. I rarely take them but after the one incident that happened a couple years back I just can't get my nerves to shut down and sleep so I had to be put on these. It got so bad I almost went a whole week without sleep and when my body couldn't handle it anymore I passed out in the middle of class and had an ambulance take to the hospital and when they found out I hadn't slept they asked a lot of questions I wouldn't answer so they just put me on these. So I only take them on rare occasion, I can say I do take small naps from time to time but when it comes to a night of sleep it just wont take. Once I take one it took about 30 minutes to kick in then I'm in a dead sleep with wishing no nightmares to add.
