iii. mama's hand
"TIA ¿Qué pasò? Is Christopher and the twins okay?" Eddie asked his aunt as he, Buck, and Jazmyn enter the hospital.
"Yes. You mean Prince Charming and his little princesses? They're Peachy. It's your abuela. She broke her hip." Josefina hugged Jazmyn and Eddie.
Eddie stepped back in shock, "What? How?" he asked.
"She was out back on the steps and calling them to come inside. She lost her balance. Christopher called 911. The rescue got there really quick." Josefina explained.
"I want to see her." Eddie demanded.
"No, she's sleeping now. And, uh, who is this?" Josefina asked as she gazed up at Buck.
"Buck. He works with me and Eddie." Jazmyn explained as Bailey ran up to her.
"Mm. I thought you just dressed alike." Josefina joked as she outstretched her hands towards Bailey, who swiftly jumped into her arms.
"This is my Aunt Josefina. Pepa." Eddie explained to Buck.
"Hi." Buck greeted Josefina and greeted Bailey with a small wave.
"You can't keep doing this, Eddie, Jazmyn. You cannot keep leaving them with her. She's not up to it." Josefina scolded the two.
"We know, I know. Tim and I are trying to work this out. It was easier down in Texas." Jazmyn apologized.
"Yeah, I'm trying to find permanent help but there's too many forms to fill out. It's worse than the V.A." Eddie informed.
"Eddie, I can't believe your gringa ex stuck you with all of this. And you, Jazmyn, this...this co-parenting isn't working too well, mija." Josefina argued.
"I'm not stuck, Tia." Eddie argued back.
"Do you have to go back to work? Ah, and you're not stuck. I'll keep Christopher tonight, and the twins until their father comes, but you both need to figured this out." Josefina offered as Bailey reached out her hands towards her mother.
