story ~~> brother's best friend
(you're gyuvin's twin sister)

Y/N's POV

It's the summer and I'm here blankly staring out my bedroom window, looking at the strangely dim cloudy skies for the season; balled up in my bed with period cramps. As I'm currently all alone at home; from what I know, Gyuvin's most likely off to somewhere with his friends and our parents are away for a while to take care of their business.

It's definitely going to rain today.

I've somehow come up with the brilliant idea of ordering a huge portion of various meals and food items which would take weeks for me to finish; paying with my own card. For what? Just cause I felt like it and these period cravings weren't cooperating with my money saving agenda either.

"What should I watch while I have the house all to myself?" I think before deciding to video call my older cousin Mijoo.

"What's up girl?"
"Give me movie or show recs."
"You serious right now? I was in the middle of a shower and I had to rush to pick up my phone just for you to ask for movie recs? GIRL."
"Trust me eonni, it's my period talking. I would've been sleeping right now if my period wasn't bothering me either."
"Watch 'The Nun'."
"By myself?? I'm going to need a plush to hug for that. Anyways thanks!"

"Where's your brother anyway? It's so early and the sky is already looking so gloomy outside, he should be taking care of you!"
"Oh don't worry I can manage, I'm grown now T~T, and you know Gyuvin, he loves hanging out with his friends more than anything."
"Alright, well, I have to go. Love you baby cousin mwaa."

It has started pouring heavily outside. I start getting comfortable on the couch when the doorbell rings. Before opening the door, I double check through the peephole for safety. By the time I have opened the door, the delivery person was already on his way back. Oh well, I guess it's easier to grab them from the front door than to take them off of someone's hands and have a social interaction..? Whilst I have literally got no motivation at all.

That's true I'm not dolled up today at all. My hair hasn't been washed since yesterday. Not to mention, I have absolutely no motivation to play dress up or put makeup on since I'd most likely be at home due to my period and the bad weather anyways.

Gently placing the boxes of food on the small table in front of the lounge chair, I try to recall what I bought. What I ordered were a few boxes of each meals such as jajangmyeon, japchae, fried chicken, kimchi jjigae, as well as some takoyaki for Japanese food and some bingsu for dessert; all enough to feed at least 10 people. That cost a lot. While I'm rethinking my impulsive decision of spending so much, I stand up to walk to the freezer, to put the bingsu away for a bit.

Gyuvin unknowingly comes home bringing a quite few of his many friends; Gunwook, Junhyeon, Taerae, Yujin, Ricky and Seungeon. Which they have inevitably gotten soaked from the heavy rain.

When I walk back to the living room, only wearing my sweats and a fitted cropped tank top, I see around 7 guys including my brother; drenched and standing barefooted near the couch and eyeing MY food. Sure, I'm really not that selfish to stop them from having my food but that's not the issue.

Gyuvin didn't say anything about bringing his friends home beforehand. "Gyuvin? Wtf are you doing here?" I whisper-shout at my twin; embarrassed being seen wearing casual clothing by his friends.

"Bro, I literally live here..?"
"Yeah but you should've told me you were bringing your friends home with you."
"You think I have time for that when it was literally pouring outside."

"Whatever. Can you guys go get changed? Look there's literally a pool of water forming under where you're all standing, and I have to clean that up." I say while scanning their faces and their drenched clothes before my eyes stop on Gyuvin's particularly charming friend. Was his name Junhyeon? We share a brief but awkward eye contact before they all walk upstairs to the bathrooms.
