"Liu Yan, where's that classmate of yours who was a soldier?"

Liu Yan, who was busy revising the blueprint, turned a deaf ear to it. It wasn't until the girls next door laughed and asked for the third time that Liu Yan raised his head and glanced at them.

A girl said: "Aren't he going to look for a job here?"

"Meng Feng..." Liu Yan took an eraser and wiped gently on the perspective drawing: "His parents told him to go home and left. He left last month."

"What a pity." Another girl smiled and said, "Such a handsome soldier, no wonder no one is waiting for you for dinner."

Liu Yan glanced at them, teasingly said: "Who likes him? Give me a bottle of fresh oranges, and I can give you his phone number." As he spoke, he blew lightly, blowing away the rubber crumbs, as if expelling a stubborn memory in his mind.

The bell rang, as the class was over, and the students walk out of the classroom.

A ray of blazing summer sunlight came in through the spotless glass windows, and the huge classroom was empty. Liu Yan sat alone in the last row, packing up the product renderings in his hand.

It was one month and twelve days after he broke up, and that was the anniversary of his and Meng Feng.

Seven years ago, Liu Yan and Meng Feng who had known each other since childhood were promoted to the third year of middle school in Z City, confessed their love, and fell in each other. After the college entrance examination, Meng Feng went to join the army, and Liu Yan was admitted to a university. Liu Yan still remembers the vows they made during their high school days. After parting ways, they still kept in touch with each other, looking forward to being together again on the day of graduation and discharge from the army.

In his second year of university, Liu Yan was sent to Germany as an exchange student because of his excellent grades. He was far away in a foreign country, but he still did not forget his former lover. After returning to China, graduate students are guaranteed. In the second year of graduate school, Meng Feng finally retired from the army and came to S City where Liu Yan was studying. When they met again, there was no surging emotion, no intense night. Meng Feng hugged Liu Yan and slept peacefully all night.

Liu Yan didn't move, but suffered from insomnia all night. Looking at the ceiling, he felt that something was different.

Meng Feng settled down in City S, intending to find a job to live with Liu Yan, but he ran around and his education was too low, but he couldn't find a satisfactory job. In the end, he left.

Liu Yan did not interfere with Meng Feng's choice. When he closed the door, Meng Feng was outside and Liu Yan was inside, they both knew that they were no longer the high school lovers seven years ago. Time is the sharpest knife, dragged along for many years, the broken past was finally ruthlessly severed when they met again.

In the blink of an eye, time leaks through the cracks of the fingers, like fine sand powder, leaving no traces, people are no longer the people they used to be, and love is not the same as before. One can't blame the long-distance relationship, let alone each other's lives. There is nothing wrong, everything comes from oneself.

Seven years later; one month and twelve days after the breakup, Liu Yan was sitting alone in the classroom and suddenly felt an indescribable feeling.

"Liu Yan!" A classmate poked his head from the front door: "The instructor is waiting for you, why aren't you moving?"

Liu Yan quickly packed up the blueprints and headed for the office as if waking up from a dream.
