"Ari im starting to get worried" Jayda cried for the 100th time today.
"What if they never come get us"
"Then we gonna get ourselves out this mothafucka" i shrugged.

"Yooo" I watched as the door of the safe room we were hiding in for the last 3 days opened. There stood everyone but Rico & Fredo.

"Where is my brother??" I asked climbing out of the room.
"Nice too see you too" Bully said sarcastically.

"He outside waiting on us aaight. Now y'all got about 5 minutes to get what y'all need & whatever you can't get we will replace when we get to where we going."

I walked around the place it felt so good to see something other than those 4 metal walls.

The house was pretty much cleared out. Besides a few boxes, you couldn't even tell anyone had lived here before.

I grabbed my lockbox, and the box that had all my valuables in it. Along with w duffel bag of clothes. I waited for Jayda who was doing the same.

"Alright let's go yall, we gotta long drive ahead of us." East said as everyone followed him out the door & onto the sprinter van.
"California here we come" Tee chuckled.

"Bro we been in the car forever" I whined. I can't believe this was a 46 hour drive.

"Only been 5 hours bro" East said as he rolled his eyes annoyed.

"Nigga where you locked in a safe room for 4 days?? After being locked in a house for 2 weeks with no interaction with the outside world?? Then having to be on a fucking school bus for 36+hours with a bunch?? I don't think so, so shut yo mouth i wouldn't give a fuck if it was 2 hours" I put the blanket over my head.

"Everybody calm down aaight, ima find us a hotel to crash at for the night okay? We gon drive another 4 hours. This whole process been exhausting for everybody." Bully said as he drove.

"Alright we here." I heard Cell telling everyone as the van went in park.

"Alright I'll go in & see how many rooms they got available. After we checked in I'll let y'all in through a back door or something. This many black people might look suspicious. And Ari, you come with me sis."

I followed Celly out the van stretching once I was out.
"Aye, don't give East a hard time aaight? He means well he's just an asshole. I think he like you to be honest"

I rolled my eyes walking into the hotel.

"Unfortunately I only have 3 rooms available right now sir" the lady working the front desk said. I rolled my eyes, how the fuck is that gonna work when it's 8 of us.

"Alright good & bad news" Cell said as we came back to the van. "Good news, they do got rooms. Bad news, only had 3."

"Better than nothing" Tee shrugged.

"You camping out here anyway nigga, you got enough sleep during the drive" East replied.

Rude ass.

"Aye he right, we do need somebody to play look out." Rico nodded in agreement.

"Ill camp out with ya bro" Fredo added. "We can take turns sleeping & watching."

"Well now that that's handled hand me my key please" Baby reached for a card.
"Wait nigga we don't even know how this gon work yet." Rico swatted his hand.
"I got it" I added "Me & Jayda in a room. Rico, Cell & Bully in room. East & Baby in another room." I shrugged taking my keycard from Celly.
I know Jayda probably wanted to sleep with her man but it'd be other nights for that.

I showered putting on a pair of sweat pants & a plain white tee. It felt so good to finally touch some water.

I spread out in the bed before passing out.

Until I was woken up by Jayda moaning. I couldn't believe this bitch. And when did Baby ugly tail come in here anyway. I rolled my eyes getting up & putting my slides on, I grabbed the phone Rico gave me texting him to open his hotel room door.

"What's wrong?" He asked coming to the door half sleep.
"Jayda & Baby" i plopped down on the pullout couch he was laying on.

"What the fuck is that noise???" Sounded like a bear was in the room. I couldn't believe Bully was snoring like that.

I laid down trying to get comfortable.

How can these niggas sleep with him in here.

For a second I thought about going to sleep in the van. At least it was quiet. Fuck it I'm going to East room since Baby came to mine. Plus it was an unoccupied bed in there, why not?

*Knock-Knock*

"Cuh who the fuck is it" I heard a groggy East say from the other side of the door.
"Me"
He snatched the door open with his gun in hand.
"What you want girl? It's 3 in the morning." He stepped aside letting me in.

"I can't sleep in there while they doing all that."

I climbed in the bed, making myself comfortable. Shit. I forgot my blanket. You know that hotel AC is no joke.

"Can you turn the air down?" I asked.

"No."

Rude ass, once again.

"You cold?" East asked.
I wrapped myself in the covers as I tried to warm up. I felt the bed shift, indicating someone was getting in it. What the hell he doing. I snapped my head from under the covers.

East laid beside me pulling me into his chest. He definitely warmed me up immediately. Who knew someone so cold hearted was so warm.

"Can you play in my hair?" He asked.

I did so until he fell asleep. Is it weird I actually felt peace for the first time in awhile?
