"Come on Rhapsody it's time for school" my mom said attempting to get my stubborn ass out of bed
"Nooooooo" I groaned hating even the thought of starting school, I've never been but from what I've heard, IT'S HELL
"Come on, Nini made pancakes" she said knowing my weakness for pancakes
"You said the magic words" I say sitting up in bed "wheres Luz? "
"She was at a sleepover last night remember? " Mama said helping me jog my memory
"Right, I almost forgot" I say hopping out of bed and going towards my closet grabbing the blank Hexside uniform. My mom walked out of the room as I quickly changed pulling my teal hair into a quick messy ponytail before running down the stairs for breakfast.
"Morning Rhap" Nini said placing the plates of pancakes on the table as I sat down, my rabbit palasmin hopping onto my shoulder.
"Morning Nini" I reply quickly summoning my bag and flute case knowing I would need that. I ate my food as fast as possible exited to see Hunter and Luna.
"I'm done" I say patting my feet into the floor exitedly
"Hang on Owlet you need to wait for us" mama said ruffling my messy teal hair and sitting down next to me begining to eat her food as Nini sat down in front of her doing the same.
"Oh I should grab some elixirs" I say hopping up from my seat running up the stairs.
I grab 3 elixirs and stuff them in my bag along with my flute. We have no idea if I have the curse so I always have them on me just in case. I run back down the stairs to see Mama and Nini putting the dishes into the sink.
"Ready to go? " mama said as I summoned my rabbit palasmin Echo.
"Yup" I say as Mama and Nini got on owlbert and I got on Echo.
We flew out of the door and into the air as hooty closed the door behind us yelling as usual.
"You nervous? " Nini said once we got at a stable speed
"Pfft of course she isn't, she's the great Rhapsody Whispers a legend in the making" Mama said giving me one of her awesome pep talks that always work when calming anyone down
"Thanks Mama, but yes I am a bit nervous considering how bad my stage fright is" I said starting to fight with my hands slightly freaking out
"It's okay Owlet I'm sure you're not the only one there with stage fright, I know Rainestorm wasn't" Mama said bringing out the nickname that always made Nini's heart flutter and skip a beat (according to them).
"I think I see it" I exclaim excitedly seeing the large school up ahead
"Alright don't do anything your mama would do that would get you in trouble" Nini said making mama do an overly dramatic sign she was offended at their statement.
"I know Nini" I say as we begin to land on the schools path.
Once we landed I started running towards the building with Mama and Nini fowling close behind. We went to the principles office to see Darius in there with Hunter and Luna
"Hunter" I exclaim running over to my best friend with open arms grabbing him in a hug confusing his non existent brain. "It's a human thing"
"How the hell do you read mind every time" he said as I let him go smiling up at him
"Because you're boring and predictable, now what tracks are you taking? " I exclaim thinking he'll pick all of them
"Probably all of them except potion, I have a high dislike for that one" he said shivering at even the mention of it "oh hey Eda, hey Raine"
"Hey kiddo" my mom said half waving at Hunter
"Alright Hunter your turn" Darius said as Luna came over and hugged me with the biggest grin on her face
"Hey Lulu" I said picking up and spinning the black haired, Red eyed child.
"Hi Rhapsody" she giggled with the biggest grin revealing her missing left front tooth.
"Oooo abomination track good choice" I said setting the pale child down
"What are you picking" she asked with a face full of pure excitement
"Bard, Potions, Illusions, Abomination, and beast keeping" I say happily knowing that I would get to do all my favorite tracks as she stared into my yellow eyes
"Alright Kiddo your turn" mama said as I walked up and told Principal Bump the tracks I wanted, he created a spell circle that changed my uniform to have all 5 of the colors on it.
"Have a good day Rhapsody, call us if you need anything" Nini said kissing my forehead and walking away with Mama as the principal gave me my schedule.
"Which ones your homeroom? " Hunter asked as the three of us walked out of the principles office
"Beast Keeping how about you? " I asked exitedly
"Same here" he replied "alright sis you know where your class is right? " he asked Luna replying with a nod head and running off to her class.
"Let's go" I say grabbing his wrist running towards the beast keeping homeroom with the hugest smile on my face knowing today would be a good day
