Celeste's p.o.v.

Crap. And here I am making a fool of myself. Cooking for a priest? I haven't cooked in such a long time. I looked over a Wally, his eyes meeting mine as he smiled. His eyes were easy too look at. Warm, but professional. Ugh. Don't get ahead of yourself. I sighed. "Well, shall we get going to get the ingredients?"

"Of course, let us go Celeste" his eyes looking into mine.

We walked out the house, with my wallet in hand, we headed to the market.

"You'll be meeting a caterpillar named Howdy. He's a kind lad, and a follower to look up to" he explained.

"He sounds lovely, it is Friday, correct?"

"Yes, so we won't be having meat tonight"

"Perfect" I responded.

As we got to the market, there was a tall green caterpillar behind the counter.

"Good evening father! Who is your guest?"

"Good evening Howdy, this is Celeste Caelan" he said, emphasizing the way the name sounded. I shivered. The way he said it made me shiver, the delight and the warmth from his voice stirred something within me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Howdy" I said, holding out my hand to shake one of his.

"The pleasure is mine Celeste" Howdy replied, shaking my hand in return.

I don't know what I felt, but I could feel like someone was watching me. The pressure was a little too intense for my liking. I gave Howdy a smile and looked over to Wally, his eyes looking at mine. I looked back at Howdy and his eyes were avoiding mine.

"Please, make yourself at home! I have anything and everything, so don't be afraid to ask Celeste" he said with a small smile.

"Thank you, I will" I replied, smiling back.

That's odd, why won't he meet my eyes? I suppose he's shy too. I looked back to Wally, there his staring eyes meeting mine.

"Shall we get shopping?"

"Certainly" he said a little smugly.

We took our time finding ingredients for dinner. Tofu, beans, lentils, flour, oil, tomato, lettuce, spices, and some pasta. Wally grabbed some apples. An absurd amount of 12 apples, and of course the things one would need for a communion. With the items secured, we purchased our items and left, saying a farewell to Howdy.

"May I ask about the apples Wally?"

"You may, but I don't know why"

"Why is there so many?"

"It's for my personal house! One can never have too many apples"

"I see" I looked at the apples. They looked daily normal to me, and I left it at that.

We walked home, talking about the texts and scripts that Wally found interesting in my home.

"Alright," I said, "Let's get cooking" I put on an apron that Wally lent me, he was behind me, watching my hands work into the flour.

"What do you plan on making?"

"Spaghetti, no meat, just the tomato sauce, and then bread and salad for the side" seems simple enough, I don't think it could go wrong honestly.

"Hmmm mind if I help?"

"Are you sure about that?, I wouldn't want your robes to get dirty"

"A point there, but I'll be alright." He said, slipping out of the robe. He rolled up his sleeves and grabbed a pot.

I swallowed, blushing profusely. Why does he look so good in that cassock? I could see him blush.

"Do I look terrible with out the robes?" He asked while filling the pot with water.

"What? No! You look handsome!"

"You flatter me, but there's no need to sin to protect my feelings"

"I'm not, you genuinely look good Wally, the black cassock is very fitting" I said.

He paused. Turning on the heat so the pot of water could boil. "I.... Thank you Celeste" the compliment making his face blush. "Uhm. Is there anything else that you need to prep?"

"Ah, just making the sauce with the tomatoes" I smiled.

"I'm sorry to ask but, may I have an Apple?"

"Pardon?"

"Can you.... Cut an apple for me please?"

"Why?"

"Well, I'm fond of apples and I have them with every meal. And besides. They would taste better with you preparing them.." he said shyly, looking at you.

He really knows how to make you flustered. "S-sure" you stuttered. You grab the cutting board and knife, aware of his eyes watching you as he watched from the other counter. Your heart pounding you start cutting the apples. The nervousness getting to your hands, they shake, and you slip the knife, cutting into your hand.

Shit. You press your lips together to not make a sound as the cotton puffs out of your cut.

"Celeste! Are you alright?" The worry in his voice made you feel bad.

"Yes, I'm alright, I just need to get a bandage"

He grabs your hand, examining your cut. "Stay here, I'll grab the bandages" he turned around to the cabinets grabbing the first aid. He grabs your hand again, kissing the cut, and then placing the bandage on to the wound . Kissing your cut again. "Feel better?"

It took you a moment to process what had happened, and when you do the heat rushes to your face. He kisses you. Wally kissed my hand! As you shouted in your head, trying hard to relax. "Uh.... Yes, I feel better"

You meet his eyes, his face a little flushed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you nervous" he squeezed your hand to comfort you.

Your heart melted. He was so kind and gentle, you could feel emotions stirring inside you as your heart raced a little from his actions. You stared at him a little far too long, your eye contact breaking when you hear the pot boiling over.

"CREPES!!" letting go of Wally's hands you dash to the pot. Turing the heat down you put a wooden spoon on the top to keep it from boiling over once more. Uugghhhhhhhh, hopefully that didn't ruin anything. You look over at Wally as he watches you. He strides over and looks in the pot.

"It looks salvageable to me. Come, let's finish making dinner alright?" He patted your head.

Oi you blush. As you help Wally finish making dinner.
