The day was a Saturday, a day meant for rest and relaxation.

Layla's mother rudely roused her from sleep, her voice seething with anger and bitterness. "Get up, you idle child of privilege... I've had enough of you... Today is the day you promised to go live with your well-off father... I'm worn out by your presence, tired of seeing your face and the financial burden you bring. I yearn for freedom, to let loose... I want to reclaim my life... I want to embrace my independence and distance myself from you."

Layla is abruptly awakened from her slumber by the piercing cries and shouts of her mother.

Her eyes widen in fear, but she remains frozen, silently gazing at her mother with teary eyes, desperate for the tears to flow and provide some solace to her tormented soul. Despite the hurtful words pouring out of her mother's mouth, Layla is left voiceless, unable to find words to respond.

As her mother persists in demanding that she rise, Layla rebels and defiantly refuses. In retaliation, her mother unleashes a violent blow, forcefully yanking her and causing her to tumble off the bed, subjecting her to an unimaginable display of brutality.

The scene becomes truly terrifying.

In such a distressing situation, one cannot help but succumb to tears and be overwhelmed by the sheer agony that engulfs them.

Layla's tears cascaded uncontrollably as she confronted the agonizing reality unfolding before her. Her voice, strained and weary, pleaded, "Mother, why these words that wound and this violence? Why do you treat me with such cruelty, your own flesh and blood? I am Layla, the one you cherished... What has happened, Mom?"

"Please, Mom, help me understand the reasons behind your actions."

The room reverberated with Layla's anguished sobs as she continued, "You once loved me deeply, cared for me, and sheltered me... Why this sudden and bewildering metamorphosis?"

"Have you betrayed me, Mom? Answer, Mom, answer, answer, answer..."

"Just a week ago, you professed that I was your entire world, that life without me was unimaginable... Why has everything changed?... Mom, I love you, you're my only family, and without you, I am left with nothing... Please, show me some compassion, Mom... Please, have mercy on my wounded heart and don't separate me from you, for I cannot exist without you, my beloved, my life, my mother... I refuse to live with my father and his family..."

The mother, indifferent, retorted, "I care not for you or your tears... I have cared for you for thirteen years, and now it is my right to prioritize my own well-being. Besides, your father is immensely wealthy, so taking care of you won't burden him... Or do you expect me to sacrifice my entire life for you?"

Layla, consumed by an overwhelming sense of grief, found herself shedding tears unlike any before, accompanied by an unprecedented pain. "Mother, weren't you the one who proudly and confidently declared that happiness is not measured by the wealth we possess, but by our beliefs and aspirations in life? You consistently emphasized that your purpose was to guide me with strong values and to remain by my side... And within just one week, everything has changed, cursed be this situation... Why are you doing this to me?"

"Mother, I do not desire to live with my father, and I do not seek his wealth. It is you, my mother, whom I long for, and to reside beside you. That alone would bring me utmost joy in this world... I am prepared to lend my assistance and work, as long as you keep me close, Mom... I promise to always exhibit good behavior, regardless of the circumstances, and to forever be the best daughter and your greatest support."

A profound sorrow enveloped Layla, rendering her silent as she wept intensely, her head bowed down to the floor.

Her mother kicked her and coldly remarked, "Your tears hold no sway over me, you, Akram's daughter."

Layla lifted her head from the floor, her gaze fixed upon her mother, as she uttered, "Have I now become Akram's daughter? Did you not repeatedly assure me that I was your only child? What has transpired, Mom? Why is this befalling us... I cannot bear to live apart from you, Mom..."
