The mother: May silence be cursed! Cease your tears... May the curse descend... May the curse descend... Be silent... Be silent... Be silent... I will perish if you continue to weep in this manner.

The mother covers her ears, desperate to block out Layla's voice, and cries out with all her might: My God, I cannot bear this... It is beyond my strength, Lord... O God of humanity, have mercy on me...

Layla: Mother, I love you, please don't abandon me, I implore you. I don't want to live without you, nor far away from you... Mother, I love you, you are my life, and I cannot bear to live with this family... Mother, I desire no one else in this world except you, my mother, for the rest of my life...

The mother: You will live with your father, you have no choice...

Layla, her tears streaming down her face, softly tapped her head against the wall and whispered, "I wish to die... I wish to die so that you can be completely and finally free from me..."

The mother's response came with a curse, "May silence be damned... Get ready, we're leaving immediately for your father's palace, Akram..."

Despite Layla's persistent refusal to prepare herself for the journey to her father's palace, her mother forcibly pulled her along, dressed in her night clothes, and guided her down the stairs, urging her into a waiting taxi.

Silently, the mother entered the taxi as well.

After a moment, the driver inquired, "Where to, ma'am?"

"To Mawasli's palace," replied the mother.

The driver, curious, asked, "Are you a servant there?"

"That's none of your business," came the mother's dismissive response.

The driver was taken aback by the mother's aggressive response. He remained silent and continued the journey without uttering a word.

As the driver continued driving, he chose to maintain silence, respecting the boundaries after hearing the woman's harsh reply.

Throughout the ride, Layla continued to weep while her mother remained silent. The driver, deeply moved by her heart-rending sobs, felt compelled to inquire once again about the cause of Layla's sadness and tears.

However, the mother insisted that it was none of his concern and warned that those who interfere in matters unrelated to them would face consequences they would not appreciate.

Upon arriving at the palace, the mother instructed Layla to exit the car, but she adamantly refused.

In response, the mother herself got out of the vehicle, approached Layla's side, forcefully opened the door, seized her by the hair, and forcefully ejected her from the vehicle.

Layla fell to her knees, whimpering in pain.

After receiving his payment, the driver drove away, his heart filled with compassion for Layla's plight and the violence she endured at the hands of her own mother.

Layla remains seated on the ground, her gaze fixed intensely on her knees, which bleed profusely and without respite. Suddenly, she hears her mother proclaim, "This is the grand ancestral residence of our family, the home of your great-grandfather's father."

Layla raises her head to behold the house and murmurs, "I couldn't care less..."

Yet, her eyes are drawn to the imposing castle standing before her.

She is awestruck by the regal fortress unfurling before her very eyes. She takes note of the two imposing buildings interconnected at the center, adorned with meticulous artistic details that mirror the magnificence of the architecture.

A splendid forest envelops the castle, releasing captivating fragrances from its lush trees and wild flora.

The luxuriant branches sway gracefully above the castle, creating an enchanting tableau of nature, abundant with verdant tranquility.

Stretching out before the castle, an expansive, flourishing garden awaits, brimming with vibrant flowers and splendid plants. The colors harmonize seamlessly, while refreshing scents permeate the air.

However, what captures Layla's attention most is a water fountain nestled at the heart of the garden, where water flows serenely, imbuing the castle with a magical and tranquil ambiance.

Layla gazes at the fountain with eyes filled with wonder, utterly captivated by its captivating beauty.

A sculpture depicted a woman draped in a flowing gown, leaning towards two twin children. At least, that's what Layla could discern or imagine, as the sculptures of the children were perfectly indistinguishable.

The statue of the woman gracefully inclined toward the two identical children, extending her hands joined together, inviting them to drink. Almost magically, water started flowing between the woman's palms and the lips of the children, as if she were offering them nourishment and solace.

Layla remained entranced by this scene, both beautiful and symbolic...

a mother providing water to her children.

Before Layla could utter a word, her mother interjected, "Get up quickly, we won't linger here. I abhor you being part of this family.

Why were you born into this accursed lineage... You will become as callous as them, for you bear their tainted blood. I refuse to stay here any longer."

Layla countered, "Mother, I won't become like them because I am your daughter..."
