I do worry about Juliet's 'bad dreams', I pretend not to notice, but they are getting more and more frequent and I never bring them up for fear of breaking boundaries.
I arise from the bed to make breakfast. There were some ingredients in the small cupboard in the kitchen, and Juliet spent some time, struggling through her pain, to make some loaves of bread for us.
I slice one up, and place them in the oven to toast them off for a little bit. When they are done, I put them on a plate and take it to Juliet, who looks absolutely define in the morning despite her constant protests.
"Thank you honey" she coos in her angelic voice.
"My pleasure, m'lady" I attempt to sound posh, but it all comes out wrong and I cringe. To my relief she laughs and then dives into her food.
"I forgot how good at baking I was" she laughs."Well, it is the only reason I fell for you" I tease
"Why so matter of fact?" She retorts and then decides to sulk
"You're so cute when you're angry" I say, but instead of replying she just hurrumphs. "Look at your little nose, all scrunched up and adorable..."
She turns her head away from me "awe, come here beautiful, I didn't mean it, please?"
She turns to face me, let's out a bell tinkle of a laugh, sticks out her tongue, then jumps out of bed, running around the table and out of the door. I reluctantly follow.
