*bzz* bzz*

"Mm." Tara mumbles in her sleep as a sharp ringing plays repetitively. "Ughh." She groans, opening her eyes finally and seeing the cause of her wake up.

Her phone? It's buzzing. She blankly stares at the screen, the buzzing stopping for only a moment before-

*BZZ* *BZZ*

Somehow louder than before, the phone lets out its tune again.

Getting tired of it, the Grumpy girl grabs her phone, switching it on and flinching at the bright light. The screen flashes on, not being able to recognise her face, hair all scruffy and darkened eye bags; whoever called her is gonna die.

But, her face softens when she sees who's caused the chaos.

"Amber, why are you calling me at," Tara briefly pauses to check the time. "Four twenty-seven am?"

Amber turns her camera on, showing that she's sat on the floor next to her bed. Her hair is messy, and her eye bags are showing a bit more than Taras. However, the pale girl still looks adorable in Taras' eyes. "Well, I just thought that if I were to get like - like say that I was to get one hundred million dollars, but only if I call someone, and they answered." Amber excitedly slurs. "And I thought, well, Tara always picks up my calls because she's the best ever and- and I always call her because she's funny and listens and shes my best friend, and- " Amber abruptly stops her ramble. "I forgot where I was going with that." She pouts, showing it on the call.

Tara can't help but be in awe of her best friend. "Is this your weird way of saying you wanted to call me? Or that you're high?" She giggles, turning her camera on as well.

"No, neither." Amber chuckles tiredly. "It's a weird way of saying I'm drunk.. and maybe that i missed you." She looks to the corner of her room for a moment before shuffling over to it. "Hey, I also found a bunch of board games and was wondering if you wanted to play Monopoly with me."

"Monopoly?" Tara questions, raising an eyebrow in amusement at the camera lense.

Amber readjusts the phone. It's leaned against an object so that Tara can see her and then she nods excitedly. "Yeah! I also found the game of life if you want - we can get married in the pink car again!" She lifts the cardboard boxes up to prove her point.

"Do you have the one with pets?" Tara asks, showing Amber that she's interested, even though she isn't really. The tired girl is dozing off just talking about it, but for Amber, she's feeding into her drunk-rambling-elatedness?

But one question catches her off guard, causing her to snap awake.

"Hey, is that my hoodie?" Amber questions, pointing at the phone.

Tara immediately looks down at the white hoodie with multicoloured sleeves. One sleeve is pink, and the other is blue.

The now embarrassed girl just chuckles lightly. "I guess I missed you too."

A smirk over comes Amber's face. "Who wouldn't." She snickers, finding the Uno. The ravens face lights up as she quickly opens it, only for all the cards to fall out of the bottom.

Tara bursts into a fit of laughter as Amber grumpily crosses her arms, the cards sprawled over her lap. "Not funny." She huffs, standing up and falling on her bed.

Tara can see her in the corner of her screen. She sighs. "Want help cleaning it up?"

Amber's face for the second time lights up. She runs to her camera and runs downstairs, grabbing her car keys.

"No, no, no, put those back." Tara scolds. Tara frowns at the camera, slowly putting back the keys. "You're drunk. I'll walk." The older girl smiles.

"Whatever." Amber slurs. She yawns and then sits down.

"Well, don't fall asleep on me?" Tara giggles, grabbing her jacket and opening the door.

"I'm nottt." Amber complains, furrowing her eyebrows and jutting her bottom lip out at the camera. "Hurryy, I miss you."

"I'm on my way, you big baby." Tara chuckles but also blushes a little bit at the harmless comment.

Tara's phone pinged.

Tara smiles at her phone, looking to the call to see Amber's focused face. She then sees her bitmoji pop up and start typing again. She can see Amber's twisted eyebrows as she fails at spelling.

Tara glances at the call, being confused at the texts. All she sees is half of Ambers face, her eyes and nose. Amber's eyes are being closed slightly by the massive grin on her face. She's giggling and kicking her feet.

"You're such a dork." Tara comments, stepping outside into the cold darkness that is the night.

Tara watches as Amber's eyebrows furrow, and her smile turns into an angry frown. "I'm locking my house."

"Excuse you- hey- don't you dare. I'm on my way now." Tara sighs.

Amber smiles to the call and gets comfortable. "The doors open."
